EURCHF is by far my favourite pair. Very low volatility, a strong ranging behaviour, and a very solid support at 1.20 that will be kept until 2016 by the central bank.

TMA bands seem very useful here as they let you see clearly the buys and sells. This is a very easy strategy. When dummie lights show ranging (olive) and price is in the middle of the band (right now) buy and sell at the same time (hedging must be allowed by your broker) setting taking profit lines at a similar distance. Let some days it going and hopefully you will win both trades. If it start to trend, don´t panic. Just cash the winning trade and try to recover to BE the losing one with a soft martingale. Martingales have a bad reputation but in this pair are the easiest thing to manage. The low volatility let you scape without a big harm. Try it several times in demo before going live.

I put in at least 50 hours of eyeballing charts per week. It´s like looking for Waldo in the crowd, but its worth it... :good:

It´s simple Art. Use Bob´s 10.6 for everything. Use Extreme TMA to filter out the trades without great potential. That´s it...

I was playing around with the Extreme TMA info indi and noticed "Slope change". This, if turned on, changes its value according to the market. Can you elaborate a little bit on its meaning?

Thanks in advance

Matt
That tells you how much has the slope changed from the last candle and in what direction. This refers to the TMASlope indi that we dont use anymore, so you can ignore it.
Slope change was combined for the entire currency and incorporated into the CSS. So instead of trying to read the slope of one currency like gbp/cad and trading we now take all the gbp pairs and combine them into a general overall strength of the currency and make one line on the CSS screen. So we compare the combined over all strength of the GBP and CAD and compare them. I find this more accurate in making my trading decisions. So that is where that one went in case you were curious. :D
Thanks Bob. I wish I could use CSS profitably and I am trying but it seems it tells you what has already happened and when I base a trade on it, the damn pair changes direction on me. Also, in H4 there is quite a delay between what CSS says and actual price action. I am experimenting with M15 where you get a heads up a little earlier. For example, yesterday H4 CSS showed the GPS bands expanding with Gbp getting stronger and Usd weakening. I moved to M15 and Usd was moving up, Gbp down and Usd had already crossed Gbp, showing strength. I´ll keep at it ...

There is a high likelihood that GU will at least test the low at 1.6465. The reason is TSI made a lower low at that point and there is no divergence. This should be tested until a divergence appears in TSI. More than likely, it will go lower than that, but we´ll see...

Gold is taking on the top side of the wedge. When it breaks it, it will most likely test the other side of the line before going up, so there is plenty of time to jump in...

Maybe this will help regarding CSS. As a professional trader of many years experience and many years and thousands of hours of using the TMA channels, Linear Regression Channels and several other strategies which I am well versed in, reading the CSS can be greatly simplified and understood (in my opinion) by monitoring the change of direction of each currency and the relationship between each currency.

A question I ask myself, "Which currency vs another is strengthening or weakening vs another? One process that has helped me tremendously is to draw vertical lines on each period of the H4 and Daily CSS. From this simple step, I can monitor the change and progress of the various currencies. It is a visual tool to help me monitor the slope change. Maybe a feature in the the future would be a column to indicate the change of slope, ie: an arrow up or down on each currency, and/or change in value. I couple this increase / decrease with the strategy I am using. If market is ranging, the Dual TMA Channels with H4 Ranging is perfect and a money machine. When the pair is trending, I primarily trade in the direction of H4. In attached example, was a recent trade on the GBPCAD which met the criteria of the latter. While monitoring the CAD strengthening, I was watching price action of the pair GBPCAD. Price jumped up to the upper channels just above the DP (Yes, I still use the DP). My entries are made based on using a SS entry under the rising lows above the TMA, or if price hits the TMA and reverses without moving above the TMA, I use the last bar which hits the TMA then place SS. Simultaneously, I am watching the CSS for confirmation. I can see the currencies moving away from each other in advance, at the very least simultaneously to price moving above the TMA channels. Since price is making this move, we can anticipate the pending move down on the pair. In this example, CAD was increasing, GBP decreased. CAD was above the +2.0 while GBP was held in the range area. This automatically puts a sell intent on GBPCAD. Couple with the price moving above the TMA Channels, and the STO7 in the upper zone, It was on a matter of time, patience for price to turn and drop.

On a more recent setup, I am short EURUSD based on the same setup.
I am also Long Silver in the commodities markets based on the same setup.

A chart of the GBPCAD setup is attached.

This is how I trade the TMA channels with the CSS and EDSEL. I also have other strategies, including a triple, automated Linear Regression Channel program, GANN Octaves, and FIB Road Map program. There are times when all of these are used. The program used is based on the market conditions.

I set the TMA channels to alert me when price moves outside of the channels, confirm with the CSS and confirm with Edsel if ranging or trending.

I keep it simple..1-2-3

1) CSS Pairs: Which currencies are increasing and decreasing;
Which currency is in a range, or moving to opposite zone ( +0.20 / -0.20 )
2) H4 Edsel: Trending or Ranging
If Trending, only trade in direction of Trend
If Ranging, confirm ranging color, look to CSS for confirmation of ranging.
3) Entry:
If Trending, wait until price moves to proper channels (lower for UPtrend, upper for Downtrend)
If Ranging, H4 must confirm ranging color, watch for price to move to upper or lower channels,
monitor CSS for confirmation of ranging / flat currencies & relationship.
Entry Techniques: Use SS or Closing Price Technique (CPT).

Hope this helps.

Cheers
