Hi Gertje, Where do you put your entry and exits? Do you wait till the price outside the TMA band?? Thanks. |

No, I enter every 50 pips in the direction of the opposite band. From the H4, I enter limitorders at the far end of the band against the direction, and close these on the retrace. Most of the times the retrace gets to the center, but I close out at the slightest sign of stalling and take every pip I can get. Sometimes I miss the TP-opportunity and leave the 'hedge' for the way back. To show what I mean, here is the current D1 chart of GBPAUD. You can see the weekly [green] TMA going up, indicating the long term trend is up. The daily [blue] TMA was down, now signaling a reversal. Here the same chart, but H4. The H4 [pink] TMA is clearly going up, so I'm buying with the trend and selling against the TMA to TP on the centerline or somewhere around. On this pair, I'm holding 13 positions with 0.15 lots long and 0.12 lots short. Average longs are 1.80069, average shorts are 1.80634 With price being at 1.822xx I have appr. +/+$300,- floating in buy's, and -/-$200,- floating in sell's. Since CSS/ stoch/ trend is still signalling BUY, I hold on until the tide changes. Be aware, I'm just doing this only one month now, with the CT-trades added last week. This account is a cent-account where I put $20,- in that shows like $2.000,- to make it more realistic. The whole thing could blow up in my face next week. Till then, I'm enjoying myself immensely. If I can keep up with this rate [20% weekly] these $20,- will pay for my house in a year...... . |

Wow! 10.9 Daily looks great so far! I was just wondering about leaving positions open thru the weekend, does anyone do that here or do we close 2-3 days in? been looking for a more peaceful TF since i've just started working, and this seems to work great around my workday |

I do leave them open over the weekend, beware of pendings and/ or SL though. Take a look at the spread that several pairs produce at closing fridaynight. I've seen 50-100 pips spread on several pairs. The problem with this spreadwidening is, they take out pendings and stoplosses, but never your TP. Also, when large weekend gaps occur, pendings could be filled at a "less appropriate" price than set. If the price gaps over your pending STOP-order, you get the openingprice. If the price gaps over your pending LIMIT-order, you won't get filled at all. Finally, when price gaps over your TP, you don't get openingprice, but your set TP. All in all, when price gaps over some sort of order you get the worse of the possibilities. |

So, in short -- set TP's but be wary of pendings and SL's for 10.9? I'm considering 0.01 on this TF, considering i've been swamped with work (always taxing as a fresh grad in a foreign environment) |

Am enjoying this method. Thanks to Yamez and Gertje for the great trade examples. I've looked in the threads and can't find the weekly TMA indicator to add to the daily. Is it the TMA true with distances 6xx indicator with the timeframe changed or a separate indicator? If different I'd be grateful if you could post it or a link please? Thanks again, it's great to be learning manual trading again on the daily timeframe One last thing, gertje, in an effort to be lazy when adding a few stack trades at 50 pip intervals in the direction of the trend, do you have a stacking trade script to add trades every 50 pips or so in the direction of the initial trade set? many thanks in advance, |

I just used one TMA-indi and changed TF-settings and colour. Show the weekly on all, the daily from D1 down, the H4 from H4 down etc. No, I don't use a script. Didn't find one that I like. It's not that much trouble to enter some trades, and it gives time to eyeball the charts some more. |

Hi Gertje, can you point where to get the TMA-indi? Thanks! |
