How big is your alert window that it bugs you that much? I just grabbed the corner of the box, and dragged it to the smallest size it would go to (around 4 inches on a 28 inch monitor). It remembers the size and placement, so there's gotta be some place you can park it that's out of the way

Regarding alerts, I don´t know about you guys, but I hate the Empty4 alert sound. I have software that I bought that allows me to transfer written words into human voice files. I use it to build a library of audio books from written text files for my blind mother. I used these types of alerts in the past for other systems and they work great. Of course they would have to be coded, etc. If you like them, we could incorporate then in the Matrix. Here is a sample file so you can hear how they would sound.

Hi Radar
It's not so much how big it is but the wasted space at the top of it. I have the alert popup and the terminal setup on my second screen so space isn't an issue. I just wanted to increase thenumber of viewable alerts o the popup so I don't have to keep scrolling through them. The pic I posted illustrates this I think.

Haha yeah mate I know. It's never really bothered me until now. With 28 charts kicking out alerts for three different timeframes the alerts are kicking thick and fast.
Maybe we could make it so we only recieve alerts from a chose timeframe whilst still having the signals come up on the matrix(?).

I know that we are dealing with a LOT of Alerts. In view of that, I can say this:

1. John (skinner36) is working on a 'Custom Alert' function, to be called from an external DLL. His Custom Alert function would popup a customizable window with everything you'd ever wish. He is a very good C++ and C# programmer and believes that he will be able to link this library to the other Empty4 windows.

2. We can switch Alerts off ... or reduce the number of Alerts by only switching some on.

3. I can make a code change, such that it won't spit out a gazillion of Alerts when it first starts up. That will make a change already.

4. In the mean time, whilst waiting for John's library, I can write these alerts to a TEXT file that you need to open in an external application (and need to refresh from time-to-time). (On linux you would do a tail -f on the file to always get the last n lines)

Let me know what you think.

I am still not a step closer to solving your WingDings problem. I have been trying hard to break it on my PC (by changing language settings, codepages, etc etc), but it won't fail on my PC. It is a bit hard to fix something that is not broke on my platform. If there is anyone out there who has a clue why this won't work on chinese platforms, let us know.
