Hello Steve, I am Probably Going to Get a Huge Bollocking for this but One Never knows until one asks maybe I might Catch you in a Very Good Mood this morning, but I will take the Chance and ask, if the Answer is a HUGE NO, I'll take it like that without so much Fuss, but it it's a YES it will make my YEAR for 2015 trading HGI. Here we Go: I have been wondering and Banging my Head Against the Wall, but I will ASK this Question, Is it Possible to have a Stripped Down Version of Holy Grail Bob ? ( or if Possible a SCRIPT.) (you can call it a HGI Bob Light EA) I mean to say something coded with not much Bells and Whistles like RAD trade , TREND Trade & Range Trade inputs, just Close all Trades or a Particular Set of Trades on any Chart that the EA or Script is placed on when the WAVY Line Shows, maybe the EA could have a Function to Change the Time frame to suit the Trade, sometimes I like to Trade from Wavy Line to Wavy Line on the Lower TF's like M30 and H1 and I might have to Monitor 5 to 6 different Currency Pairs. Just a Simple EA, Stick it on and wait for the Wavy to Show up and let the EA do it's Job. I hmmmmm am very Afraid now... but having to thumb through a few inputs can be a bit Confusing sometimes, trying to duck and Dive out of the Market with some profitable Pips here and there on Multiple currency Pairs Simultaneously at Lightening Speed can have disastrous Outcomes if one isn't careful . I am a Nob and I am only asking if it's a Distant Possibility Sir. Happy Trading Y'all, xrismak. |

Hey xrismak, just thought you might like to know that Nob is spelt with a K, as in Knob |

Yes it can, as I pointed out a couple of weeks ago in the HGI thread after making it possible for HGB to be used as a manual trade manager - and for which I have subsequently used it. As I occasionally point out, it is entirely up to members here whether they bother to read the posts of the FORUM OWNER but that they can expect to miss the occasional useful thingy if they fail to do so. Ok, so you could argue that the user guide should make this management use explicit. I argue that the user guide would be 1000 pages long if I were to go into detail about every possible combination of inputs possible. There comes a time when a user has to think, "Well if I turn of this and this, and maybe this as well, but leave in place that and that....... Maybe I might achieve what I want?" and experiment. Just a thought or two. |

If you don't want a particular type of trade you can set it to false Well in my opinion HGB is already pretty Lightweight One time was thinking about implementing separate trade management per type of trade and multitrade. So you could manage your exists differently from them, each has own moneymanagement. The ability to use different timeframe filters per type of trade. All in one ea.. and call it Ultimate Holy Graily Bob Why code this all in one EA? Cause I am to lazy to open multiple charts for the EA manually. And then open the charts with a MPTM.. (the opencharts in alphabetic order can only handle 1 template) And when you use MPTM it does'nt interact with HGB. So you can't code what Bob said somehwere in the UG: Instead the HGB right now closes directly the trade. Would be great to have the EA start "looking" for an exit in the form of a Trailing stop when an opposite signal appears Well, guess something like that would be the Ultimate Toy for some people over here... Yet, I understand the frustration of Knoobs, as the setfile of a ultimate one, would be double in size of the "light one" I totally agree, Right now its possible to filter on myfxbook (using SL & TP combined with comment) but not as easy.. I had a thought about this.. while bloopspotting the code. And implemented it differently.. As I also wanted to be able to use different trade management for the single and Multiple entries.. Was to lazy to implement it as different magic#, so in (upcoming) version 2f there will be a different trade comment for the Multi's. Making it very easy on myfxb.. Being captain obvious Filter Trade Comment = "Trend trade" // shows only trend Filter Trade Comment = "Trend mutlti trade" // shows only multi trend trades Filter Trade Comment = "Trend " // shows the single entry and multi's |

Hello Have been using HGB for some time, on different timeframes and settings. Keeping in line with Nanningbobs No-Stoploss mindset, i have one of the accounts set with no stoploss. How much loss is normal? Some of the trades open are 400 - 500 pips in the negative (open trades). Another thing, should the pending orders be deleting themselves? I have pending orders that are weeks old? (Disclaimer: trading at the end of year is dumb, and this may very well be the reasin for it) |

First check is that you have the correct version of HGI indicator entered into the EA check the field in the EA settings matches the name of the HGI indicator your using. Otherwise I don't know, cheers |
