I also entered EURAUD yesterday on the break of the blue MA line by using the EA. Was stopped out at the first JS at 40 pips.

My problem is trade management: In his booklets NB recommends the use of a BE+5 @25. Also Verve's codex recommends to close half the trade @30. But now all my trades are stopped out at BE+5. The trade above is the first one that made it to the first JS (and was stopped out then).

In order to make it to your TP target at the next pivot line do you switch off trade management?

I shorted EU and GU earlier. Grabbed some 30+pips. Using 10.2 chart. Price below DP, WP, MP. 8-)

I hear ya. I'm still figuring that out. I'm not using the ea's at the moment so not having to worry about those. I'm watching the TMA to give me direction on trade exit. I am moving to BE after 25-40 pips just to not turn a loser into a winner.

Well pips are nice no matter how you get them. EU and GU are both between 0 and -4 on my charts on both the daily and H4, so not really in line with the strategy as I understand it. :?

Interesting setup on AUDUSD. It's fallen from its +.8 threshold to .52 now. Can't break the weekly pivot. If it breaks below the daily pivot you might catch the start of a big downtrend. If you hold it and then it breaks the monthly pivot you'd be in right at the top of another downtrend.

However if it breaks above the weekly pivot then it's back into an uptrend so get your buys in! NZDUSD just broke above the weekly pivot. let's see if it can hold it.

Well that was quick. it broke above! So uptrend is in tact until we cross below the weekly again.

Few more trades I put on tonight. So far so good on most.

Aud/Cad price broke above the weekly. Good to go.

Aud/Usd same thing. Go figure ;)

Nzd/Cad ... and again.

Wondering aloud on targets here. Rather than 50 pips, how about using Average Daily Range for each pair? If your goals is to be closed out in a session, then ADR/2 or ADR/3 might be more appropriate. Would mean a quick calculation of ADR for each pair in the basket, but that could be easily automated. I won't have chance to test this idea for a few weeks... cutting over from another automation project to NB 10.2A as my next candidate but it will take awhile.

Just a suggestion. If you are going to use Monthly pivots/S/R and daily charts, you really cant use tight SL and TS. You are in to long term trading which means you are planning on hanging in trades for days or even weeks. The trade management stuff is really for low end TF. You really are going to get a lot of +5 BE in range trades because price is just not moving strongly but bouncing up and down. So right now I am taking a lot of 20-40 pip trades until the next moves develop.

I think 10.2a is going to be set up in its final form for trading ranges, it is really suited for that better than the 10.2 original. 10.2 original is going to work better in trends. Right now that is how I see it working. I am trying to make a simple non cluttered screen where both are there and you dont have to switch from screen to screen. Have to solve some issues so the pivots and TMA agree on at least most broker Empty4. Once I get that settled then I can settle into a complete package that works in both trends and ranges.
