I'm sorry CC, but it's totally unclear to me!! I've been studying a LOT and following this thread, but in all honesty, your post above has just confused me [almost completely!!] and doesn't answer the question for me I'm afraid.

I've read your post again and again and I'm really sorry, but I must be the most unintelligent person on this whole forum, because it just doesn't make any sense!

Is anyone else confused? Or is it just me?
Hiho,

okay. I'am the second guy who has his problems in understanding :-) I'am the kind of 'visual guy' who needs pictures to better understand things. But i think i will read all posts again and take some silent hour with no intervention from my kids to give it a second chance 8-)

see you

Is crossing the 20SMA a new thing? Or have I missed where you explained it earlier? Do you want a candle close on the other side of the 20SMA?

More questions!

1. Would you take a trade at a WP if price is in a suitable retracement and the above criteria are met?

2. Do you find it more reliable to take deals at MP and WP or FastTMA line?

Thanks again,

Rob
Rob,

SMA(20) has always been part of the template and I have said that its use is to help position the entry. I had told you earlier to wait for confirmation at MP before entry. I'm only stating how that confirmed bounce may then be entered. You don't have to use SMA(20) as it is an optional tool - I do - but once all other the conditions had already been in place at that HPTP, you can set the entry at a level that allows some space for confirmation that a bounce has occured. You may be sacrificing a few pips to be safe but its worth it. No rule has changed, only some entry level space allowed for confirmation - just for safety.

I do not find WP to be a trend-changing pivot, typically it just pauses a move briefly.

What is the difference between Reliability and Predictability? CTS isn't a prediction tool, only a fast trend-follower with an early entry and early exit mechanism. It's like a highlighter on a chart that says "this is a highly probable entry point; take a closer look and follow fast if the expected behaviour is confirmed".

Any trader approaching the forex market thinking about predictions ("I think price will go here so let me get in early") instead of probabilities ("price can go here or there; this expectation has a higher probability under this condition; if confirmed, here will be a good entry level") will be a net loser. Sorry, I can't be of any help with changing psychology.

Cheers
CC

Thanks once again CC [I'm getting tired of writing that!!  ]

Appreciate your patience in explaining to me [glad you're "Cool 'n' Calm" otherwise you'd be sick of me by now!!   ].

I will try to post more charts. If you'd be kind enough to comment on them, then maybe it will go in to my thick skull eventually!! :D

@ Guido - no offence, but I'm glad it's not just me that's struggling with this!! Post up some charts mate and we can learn together :)

Hi guys,

Just a heads up - a major update will be coming soon to the attachments in post#1 that will include the following:
  • An NRP template for CTS!
    - The Fast lines will NOT repaint
    - The alerts will be the MTF version so there will be no need to check higher TFs
    - The incorporrated slope indy will be Baluda's brand new TMASlope for CTS
  • Clarifying guidelines on some highlighted sticky areas - RRs, MPs and Emerging Bias estimations
Watch out. If there's any area you will like me to add, please say so.

Cheers,
CC

OK, here's one. CC, you commented on this a while back, but not in detail.

I'd appreciate your feedback on this - and of course, I know I'm hindsight trading here!!

With regard to the 20SMA, do you find that when all criteria are met and price passes through the 20SMA, it often retraces back to the 20SMA before bouncing to give a potentially better entry? I've observed this several times, but not "tested" it.

No timely trading signals on this forum. Sorry. :D
I neither have the time to spare from trading my own accounts, nor the inclination.
If sharing my system isn't good enough for you, then its pity.

Just a joke dude! :D

I don't want signals from ANYONE. I am very grateful for you sharing and taking the time to explain to a numpty like me. I want to learn how to do this myself, otherwise there's no point!
