Trading is a very personal thing. For example I am not a Fibo guy, why price would follow a math formula makes no sense to me but then again if enough trades follow the rules then it works. The suggested ,TP and SL are based on the strength/weakness of the move but price can do anything at any time depending on all the crazy things that can happen in the world and never forget the emotion of traders and interference of the big players. None of those things can be predicted by an indicator. I developed a philosophy that if I made a profit I was successful no matter what price did afterwards. So what if I missed the next 500 pips just make sure your winnings out weighed your losses. In other words trading us not an exact science but more like painting a picture. The beauty is in the increased account. No matter what happens. Trade in a way that lets you trade another day. Enjoy the profits and the skills you develop to make them not the what if or could of. You will enjoy the journey much more.

Something else that should be emblazoned across the souls of all noob traders - and a fair few of the less-noob ones. Macho twats fret about catching the 500 pip moves. Successful traders make profits. Not a rocket-scientist concept. Ask your local grocer if it is. The one driving the swish car to the store. 500 pip moves happen, and it is wonderful indeed to catch them. 20 pip moves happen a hell of a lot more often. |

Senior guys pls clarify. Attached a snap of the price action. My reading, as per this thread is: Primary trend is UP from ( 1) Correction started at ( 2), price tending downwards (!) correction ended at (3) , price reversing (?) price back to trend up (!) from the currend candle ? would appreciate your guidance and help please.... many thanks |

Nothing is relevant from the past. HGI refers purely to the here-and-now. Yes, there was a green trend arrow at 1. Then there was a range yellow wave at 2. You appear not to understand what the yellow waves mean. Yes there is both a blue wavy downtrend line and a range buy signal at 3. Which one came first? Would either of them survive a chart refresh? Would you have traded either or both of them? I don't know. I know what I and any of the EA's I have coded for HGI would have done, but that is not relevant. You are in control of your own trading and must know how to interpret the signals that HGI sends you. You must do all the reading and thinking if you are to make sense of HGI. You must understand that what he is telling you applies to the here and now and accept this: trading him will often look silly in hindsight. Once you understand why, you will understand the power of this indi. There is no shortcut to gaining this understanding. |

Note by SH. I have removed the rest of the post by this cretin. Yet again, we have a dimwit unable to take the most basic of advice which is this: do the reading. He is now consigned to the group of morons unable to do anything other than read posts and download files. I am happy to allow him to download files as he is probably too stupid to actually achieve this. Anyone else here want to post a moronic question that proves conclusively that he/she/it is too lazy and stupid to do the required reading? Please do feel free to post. |

Have been reading up over weekend till now. Trading one demo, 2 live, small lots. Finding it hard to believe that I can take trades that don't turn round and bite me. Mostly using m15, trying to get good results on H1 and H4, still feeling my way on those. Unbelievably impressed, and repeat thanks to Bob and other contributors. (Charity donation will be forthcoming). Still plenty of reading to do, wanted to not just lurk, but show appreciation for making HGI available.Richard |

Results from demo trades in Asian session 12_15. Wanted to try on H4 per instructions. Triggers were either blue wavy's or HGI big arrows, some using M15 for better entry. Took them off when it looked like a turn point coming up, all would now be negative, but still within the H4 trend. No news or special event driving the market over the period the trades were open. Original idea was to leave them run and see how far they would go, but if I can get this kind of profit with a total exposure of 6% I will be very happy. Work (and reading through the thread ) continues. Really impressed with the results, thanks Bob et al. |
