I agree with you, this system does work, but we do need to filter some things like:

1) Don't take a trade too close to the 240 MA, user can set the distance.
2) Don't take a trade when the pivot is miles away from the 240 Ma, user can set the distance.
3) If a trade has been stopped and the conditions become valid again, user can set the filter to ignore until tomorrow(No more trades with this pair today).
4) Don't allow more that a specified number of trades of a specific currency to enter orders, user can decide the amount of say, JPYs open trades.
5) If we are too close to the 240 MA, then reduce the lot size, user to select distance and reduced lot size.

I've noticed these trades as a basket, drift up and down from 7% profit and back to zero, maybe we need to add a routine to grab profits when above ?%.

This is an awesome EA and I'm enjoying running this! Great work here.

Here is how I'm running v1.0.7. I have a MPTM instance running to set a BE at 5 pips for each of the open trades at 20 pips profits and a jumping stop of 20 pips. I also run another MPBM instance to treat all the open trades as basket with a adaptive BE of 5 pips at 15 pips profit and an adaptive jumping stop of 10 pips. So far this seems to work pretty well.

Do you think its worthwhile to code the above into the EA itself?

I'm doing live account with microlots. When it gets to $20 or so I turn off the expert and run a close-all script which deletes even the pendings and then turn the EA back on. I will be testing it way for some time. If it turns out to do well, I'd like to see an automated 'grab the bucks and reset everything' setting for this. in the future.

Great work guys! question; I've been testing on demo with GP, IC, Alpari and Oanda. I hope this is peculiar to my hardware but with v1.07 and about 10+ trades active I get pegged CPU and lockup no matter which broker I try? Also when I close the platform and no other apps are running the CPU stays 100% until I reboot the machine? I couldn't figure where to put Slipshod's suggestion of "Sleep()" I assume I have missed something. Any thoughts? I'm running Win7 64 pro on a wired cat 6 lan, Intel Core2Duo 2.2GHz, 2GB, 4GB DDR2 I'll look forward to v1.08 and, if it is only my hardware, a new workstation. thanks again!!

Wkcfx, I believe my Sleep() suggestion was added to 1.07, so it won't help you I'm afraid. I've no idea what could be causing it, the EA's running just fine on 3 different MT4s for me. Is there anything in your Experts of Journal tabs? Any repetitive errors etc? Are you running with Stealth on?

SlipShod/Sojo, Did you guys got shot by EURJPY twice due to the trades taken close to 240? Just wanted to understand if there is any smart way to avoid that. Thx.

I got shot once. Immediately thereafter I introduced (into my local EA) the ATR-based minimum SL distance I mentioned in previous posts, and it hasn't happened since. In fact so far the only losses this EA has suffered on my account were due to the constant entry/exit bugs in 1.06 and the tiny SL close to the 240 MA.

The EA needs flexibility in order to adapt it's ENTRYes to ever changing mkt conditions, not a set & forget, one size fits all, solution to all trader wannabees/newbies problems Trade management should be a trader's RESPONSABILITY, and implemented stand alone with steeve's TOOLS as you yourself mentioned What we need to now is another "Self Pend Order Setter Dashboard" for 10.5 as well as an RSI(2) variant of the 10.4 EA IMVHO of course... Looking forward for the 1.08 to get the ATR incorporated. The SL close to the 240 is the only biggest concern so far. On closing the basket and restarting the EA, what is the overall % gains you look for before doing that? Thx.

Personally I don't plan on closing the whole basket very often, and didn't in this case. I just noticed a bunch of ***JPY pairs that were close to their TP levels & decided to exit them, and all the other trades were left running. In addition, my hacked local copy is entering twice - 3/4 of the position with the TP and 1/4 to slowly trail the price action in case it wants to run. The trailing orders for the pairs I closed earlier today are still running, all with stops covering BE. Whether this enhances or subtracts from the profitability of the system long-term is something I'll have to wait & discover.
