skipped 2 days of morning snapshots during the holidays as well as being sick.
and learnt a lesson on the wonderfulness of the D1 css.

this will be day 3 of my snapshots.

highlighting steep angles today.

bullish pairs are JPY/CHF
bearish pairs are USD/CAD/AUD

just trading what i see.

flipping to the 240 line check. AUDJPY CADJPY short trades are ok.
then the RSI2 check reveals nothing pinned to the top side so nothing to really look out for 10.4 wise.

just a simple run through to help those working their ways into 10.4

for my reasons i'm ok to just have a nicer setup.
my 10.4 trades middle of the week were more than that i needn't trade after that.

take your pick.
trade what you see.

Thanks John.

Bob has a few posts on the other thread that detail things nicely too :)

Hi nicoacademia,

Attached is a screenshot taken of my H4 CSS and D1 CSS. FX Primus ECN live account.

Time for me was just after 6:00 pm Sydney, Australia, so 4:00 pm for you.

I know the broker feeds make a difference, yet I find this interesting. With D1 CSS, except for CAD, JPY, most currencies are flat, for me, compared to you.

No trades for today due to the holidays, I'm trying to keep in the spirit of this thread :)

may be it would be clearer to talk about symbols instead of pairs when commenting css stuff.
Just to avoid confusion...

Rest of the world is taking a holiday so I may as well chuck a few hopefuls in. No more scaling in for me this week.. EURGBP feels good:

A couple of other open trades:

Monday trading will probably land me in hot water but I really like pinned RSI setups so want to get a feel for trading them.

What's with your lotsizes?

50k demo 1% risk per trade with lot size depending on how far away my SL is. I'm still tossing up between:

A. Very tight SL but risk:reward always higher than 1:2. Ie risk 20 pips TP 100 pips.
B: Far away SL but risk:reward not skewed in my favour. Ie risk 400 pips TP 100 pips.

Scenario A I will get stopped way more often but when I hit TP I hit it big.
Scenario B much less stopouts, would still close trades way earlier than a full stopout if it goes against me.

Cheers
J

May be i'm wrong, but it's my way to be safe and wise. So i sleep well.
I only made 6,5% profits for the month of may, it's really bad compared to other guys performances but I only faced 4% floatind DD, which is enough for me. And It's 6,5 % live money.
I'm cool when week end is here.
I don't want 50% by month, 10% would be really great.
I guess it's much better to learn how to earn 10% each month of the year, rather than trying to earn 50% this month.

I have traded the last 3 years with a goal of 10% a month. 10.4 has opened a whole new world for me so that was my goal for years. That is a great starting point, If you make 5-10% a month you are doing better than the best money managers of the big funds. They try to get 10-30% a year. So having reasonable attainable goals is the best way to learn this business. While you make your 10% month you learn the business, dont risk your account, and can become a millionaire in 4-6 years. That my friend is a very reasonable goal.

One of the worst things FF does is have a page of the top 10 traders. You see these guys with 100-400% increases in their account. What you dont see is they are gone the next month along with their account. It creates unrealistic expectations. You have my full support and praise for your goal. 6.5% is a good month and dont let anyone try to convince you otherwise. There are no investments, well legal ones anyway, where you get those kind of returns. Stay in there and keep those goals attainable and reasonable. When you reach your goal, reward yourself and spend some of it on something you like to do. I am going to London end of June as my reward for my trades in May. My wife loves those results.

The problem is, like you mentioned, it often takes years to understand that 5 or 10% a month is great, reading forums like FF is the best way to kill your goals and to forget basis.
Wish you and your wife a very good trip to London...

Talking about trades...
This morning i put pendings on eur gbp, usd cad. on pivots.
As i expected the price didn't move that much
I chosen to close this two trades (about 5 pips profit each) as the CSS H4 are not that good configures and it's a holiday. Even if signal still look good on this pairs, i prefer to be out and reenter tomorrow if stull good.
Any shared advice ?
