I haven't tried it on this EA but I have on others. I am not sure the war is between MPTM and the EA as I noticed something a bit weird earlier today.

The setup I am testing I have the EA set BE @ 40 pips (+5 for BE) and have a 30 pip jumping stop. BUT I also have MPTM running simply with a global closure @ +200 pips.

What I saw this morning was a D1/H4 EU buy constantly changing its SL. I noticed it was the only chart I had on H4 and tried changing to match the others on D1 but it wouldn't let me - I had to close the chart, open a new one on D1 and re-add the EA. Very odd but can't have been anything in MPTM as that isn't doing anything other than the global closure @ +200 pips. In addition once I re-opened the chart on D1 the constant SL changing stopped.....so it seems the EA managed to get locked up some how in this loop.

So something a bit weird there, but what exactly I am not sure.

It just occured to me that I don't really know whether my broker (FXCM) is a ECN broker or not. Does anybody know? Thnaks in advance

Am I the only one not closing the trades manually? I am in big trouble! I thought it would close trades at 100pips loss. Question, Had I closed my trades at 400pips, wouldn't they be reopened instantly? Cheers!

TP is 100 pips (you can also change that). As Al3xx wrote the part of the EA that manage trades was taken from the good "old" MPTM although I asked and never got an answer is there a way to disable this part of the code and run the MPTM it self... Another thing is using hidden SL/TP which are not showing up to eliminate any criminal thoughts to get your trades to that points... Waiting for 1.3

One way to do this would be to set TP at 1000 pips, SL at a "backstop" value (that your broker sees) - say 200 pips (as is), turn off all trailing/jumping stops, BE etc and run MPTM, which will control the trades regardless of what the Autotrader is doing.

This is just drawdown and will happen on significant retracement on any strategy - which is why the recovery trades are being worked on. The answer to the part re closing at 400 pips - it depends if the conditions for taking the trade are still valid. You need to understand what those conditions are.
