Everyone says the strength of this system is the single-level losses and the multi-level wins. So apparently it's not a good idea to always take the level-1 TP. How to decide when to TP, and when to let it run?
Distance from the 240 line and the number of pairs near it will give you a heads up. I am also looking at which pairs are weakest and strongest on the 10.4 info page and concentrating most of my trades on those cross pairs. It is hard to go wrong seeing gbp below the line and usd above the line and they are both the weakest and strongest for the week. So I can at them as my best trading groups. The ones near 0 are probably ranging and the least moving pairs. As I study 10.5 my theory MAY BECOME 10.4 for the weakest and strong pairs 10.5 for the ones in the middle. But that is theory for now and live testing starts this week.

angle of the 240 will tell along with the strength of the moves. expand your chart or visit the monthly it is telling you the story. Since Jan the gbp/usd has touched the 240 twice and just missed it this last week. It will cut back into the trend or go above the line. I will play a strong move down but if not the SL is nearby so no big deal. Traders need to look at the big picture and see what is happening. A major story is needed to break this trend. We will see if and when it happens.

It is why I didnt take a SL at the 240 line with gbp/nzd. I knew since the eur/nzd didnt break it and gbp elsewhere is down, I knew a good bounce back into the DT would happen once the news traders bailed, which they did at the Friday Euro close.

Hi to all traders. A question on leverage. Bob is quite emphatic on pages 29 and 30 of the 10.4 manual about using low leverage and about the benefits thereof. He almost suggests that 10:1 is the maximum. Can't find any answers on the forum to clarify this so best way is to ask. What is everyone using - particularly live traders? With demos most defaults are 100:1 and not an issue because it's not our hard earned at risk. But in practical terms (and especially with all the high quality EA's and scripts available on this site) what is the accepted norm for 10.4 - if there is one!. Up until now I have always been a day trader and so the swap costs were not an issue and are not really part of my question here. Even though they are important I am more interested in the leverage ratios.
I would really love to hear opinions on this subject.
In the meantime, a big pat on the back to all contributors to what is a wonderful and enlightening thread.

Hello,
i have been following the 10.4 threads with fascination.
Earlier today on the main forum Bob posted a screen shot of his eurcad chart. Comparing his to mine there is a big difference re pivot level and S/R levels. I'm aware that different broker feeds and time settings will yield different results bot it seems my levels are almost askew by a whole level ie Bob's pivot is around where my WS1 is. I have re-loaded all the indicators from page 1 from scratch to see if there was some file corruption. Seems to be this week.
My broker is Axitrader in Oz.
Have I done something fundamentally wrong?
Any thought appreciated.

We need a few more clues here. Which new dashboard? Can you post a screen shot?

Please reload your charts as an attachment. The way you have them embedded in the post we can't open it up to see an detail.

Hi Pips,

I am also with AxiTrader (GMT +2)& my chart looks similar to yours. Detail is hard to see as MurphyMan mentioned but I can see that my levels are in a similar relationship to the candles as your levels.

I can't remember if Bob has Sunday candles or not. My guess is that the 130+ pip gap down on Monday morning has upset the levels for the week. As you say, the charts are substantially different. Yet the 2 weeks before seem fairly similar.

At the time the screenshots were taken Bob was looking to enter as price crossed down below the WP whereas our charts were already 60 pips below WP. Don't know what the answer is other than trade what you see. If Bob hadn't posted his chart we would have been none the wiser. So we can still trade from level to level.

Your thoughts Bob?

Cheers,
Mick
