Just to add... A monthly return of 6% compounded for 12 months equates to 100% return annually! I personally have a goal of 2% per week... This allows me to have an off week once every so often and still know that I am well on track to doubling my account every 12 months 10.4 has made this possible and all with my floating DD normally less than 5% but never more than 8% With these kind of returns and minimal DD the equity curve is very smooth... add some track record and you are set for life! Thanks again Bob! |

hi alex84, yes i used the wrong word it should be symbol. noted hi yamez, the daily CSS actually changes from day to day. my broker feed is based on FXCM. today's bull symbols are same as yesterday. looking for steeper angles. Bull symbols: JPY / CHF but given yesterday was effectively a holidayed market we will see and be more cautious. NZD looks to be eeking out a turn up. so expecting not as much weakness there(but we will see if i am reading this correctly) Bear symbols: CAD / GBP seems like USD/EUR are turning down too. note to then check where our 240 line is. some pairs flirting with it. then the RSI2 condition. and finally the goldenrod condition of the 4H CSS. stay safe. i guess the market will position for the slew of data coming in. be aware of the calendar in the sense of knowing when volatility, volume, conviction(?) will come in. if you note the move on the JPY now. we would have to use the 4H CSS as our template of analysis. and it would have shown the momentum changing since yesterday. there's no one way. but just presenting what i'm exploring with now and still within the boundaries of 10.4. so...see which fits your style. |

Hi everybody, I have marked the slope angles and some questions. USDJPY Assume that H4 RSI2 @ the bottom and H1 CSS turns to goldenrod/ Green CSS H4 JPY downward and H4 USD upward. It is good for pending LONG trade. But CSS D1 JPY upward and D1 USD downward. It is not good for pending LONG trade. Should I trade this pair as USD below Zero? If yes, should I forget the D1 CSS ? If yes, when to use the D1 CSS? Thanks John |

i'd like to hear Bob's deeper insight. but my first response is the D1 CSS will be slower to turns in the market. so we could be seeing the restart of the yen pairs strengthening(yen weakening). but the D1 CSS would be slower to catch it as the past few days has been yen pairs weakening(yen strength) the safety catch and core principle of 10.4 is the 240 line. then the pinned RSI2 and the individiual pair's CSS turning to goldenrod. if those principles are met whether scouted out on 4HCSS or D1CSS then i believe you are good to go. these morning snapshots i post are just a headsup and what to look out for and feel in the market. 4HCSS reacts alot faster as it can be seen the big move in the yen pairs was on already a few hours ago. but most importantly are the core principles of CSS. EURJPY was the only pair that was above it's 4H 240lwma line so that would have been the only valid trade. to sum up what i feel. it is the execution of the core principles that matters. 240 line. RSI2. individual pairs CSS gold. the scanning is just that. a scanning phase. |

Hi Nico, Is USDJPY also a valid trade as the price is above 240MA? |

Based on the H4 charts, not really proper trade.. CSS just turned goldenrod in the last bar for H4, but it was goldenrod in the past few bars for H1. So could be a hit and miss depending on your choice |

yea i believe it was one. Bob actually mentioned his core principles and way of going about doing things yesterday. I didn't manage to catch that post until now. "240 and RSI 2 are the two most important signals and then confirmation from the following The tie breakers for me are: 1. Fundamentals, like today was a bank holiday in two major countries usd and gbp, so didnt really spend a lot of time looking for trades. Had two profits 1 for 21 pips and another for 15. Took out my gbp/usd trade for a loss. Strong fundamentals always top anything any indicator may say. 2. CSS info page-are two lines moving away from each other or one flat and another moving away, both indicating strong trend moves. 3. Crossing of DP or WP lines no matter what the indies say but CSS info page gives me a chance. 4. Most of my trades are based on the RSI 2 and the 240 line filter with steps 1,2, or/and 3 above. I started thinking of a flow chart to use with the new template I made." http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... start=4890 so you can see 240 + RSI2 are core core. and he is flexible about what fills out the rest. so yes USDJPY was pretty valid. |
