Hello SHF members. You don't know me, but you know I'm here. Yes, I am what most call the silent lurker, that guy too busy (lazy?) to take the time to share his thoughts. Yet he does think, and react in his way. But when it gets overwhelming, the lurker has to take a shy step towards the light and lay his heart out. Please be gentle 
I won't go into a lengthy presentation just yet, as I feel that post may already end up pretty big, but I've been dabbling into The Train Wreck That Is Forex (yes, I believe that needs to be capitalized) for a few years now, and like most of you I reckon, it has become a fascination (hobby/passion/obsession, what's yours?). We've read Terabytes worth of material, from worst to awesome, explored thousands of ways, and ended up places we never knew we were looking for in the first place. Then it appeared to us that, like one's success can only be measured by one's wishes in life, the ways to attain our goals could only be found through hard work, researching and learning, yes, but first and foremost working on ourselves. Tell me traders, what have you learned about yourselves? No one knows how long the road is, but do you feel like you've walked far yet? It's been said what matters isn't the end of the road, but the journey...
I like using the "walker" metaphor, because again probably like most of you, it's been kind of a lonely business. I don't talk much about what I do, my wife gives me the occasional puzzled encouragement for seeing me spending hours looking at charts or reading weird stuff but that's it. What I failed to realize until now is that reading you guys over all those years (yes, I've been lurking for a long time, over at FF too, among other places... ), I kinda felt like I knew you, and reading the posts about you finally meeting each others has been a moving and enlightening experience. Now, it just doesn't seem right to feel that way and not making myself known.
Steve, you should get by now I've been stumbling back upon your work on countless occasions the past years, and your presence is truly impressive. You talked about Bob's charisma but don't you worry, you ARE some kind of a character yourself  I really am grateful for coming over to SHF, and the simple fact is it's the only forex-related forum I've been reading for quite a while now. You can be proud, SHF is really something big. And like I said, I've read a lot, so, Bob, xris, Alo, bt, CJ, Elixe, milanese, Gertje, and all of you guys (I can't name everybody!), you just rock! Members, all of you, thank you.
Sorry for posting this here, but I know this thread is going to become a milestone, and the birth of HGI coinciding with Steve's and bob's real life encounter, well, that's just huge! I've started some tests myself, and I am amazed at how easily HGI can fit with other techniques and help one build confidence on the good trades. Truly, a magnificent work.
Sorry for the long post, there's still much to say, but I'll stop here for now. On a side note, I manage, but english is not my native language either, so I hope my ramblings were clear enough to convey what I feel.
