Thank you very much for your insight,

My results for running PPoS hands-off and with manual intervention have not been that great either, and I think the reason is only cause PPoS has no consideration for S/D zones, and opens trades in those areas, which result in large losses.

However, my results for trading HGI manually have been very good. HGI recognises a turn in price direction, and in fact you can see many of the waves and buy/sell arrows lay on S/D zones.

Those were the reason I was thinking about moving on to HGB, and have now made up my mind :) I hope to be testing your BasketMirror EA with HGB soon.

Just to let you guys know that I have been beavering away.

I have coded the basket manager to be managing a 'control' or a 'live' account - 'live' meaning actual trades. I have added code to HGB so he recognises which account he is trading.

The control account is intended to take trades and close baskets quite quickly. The live account recognises that this process is happening and does not trade. The control account will eventually take trades that hit our dreaded retrace. Once trades on the control account hit x pips DD, it tells the live account that it is time to start looking for opportunities to enter the market.

I am not releasing all this yet because it is a tad on the complicated side of life and there may be a few bugs (may be? - dream on) lurking amongst the undergrowth. I am running this on demo at the mo and do not want to release until I have seen a cycle in action.

Just figured you might like to know where my latest thoughts are heading.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for all you efforts to get HGB to the best it can become, and in my opinion the control/real account or Rene's BasketMirror solution is what HGB needs.

I have a question, and I know it may not be the right time to ask. My question is how would the control account know how much of a retrace is needed before starting to look for new opportunities.

Obviously the amount of retrace is not fixed for every pair and in every situation, so a fixed number of pips can not be applied in all circumstances. Would you be considering ATR, ADR, or something in that line to make the decision that the retrace is over?

Make the change yourselves by going to line 2950
if (WaveStatus != Wavebuytrend)

and change this to

if (WaveStatus != Waveselltrend)

then F7 to recompile.

Maybe this is the time to remind people that this thread is about HGB, not a different EA?

You guys may feel that HGB on his own is going nowhere but with something else is going somewhere. If so, open a new thread elsewhere. I will happily draw attention to the new thread.

HGB is working like a charm so far this week. Trading 11 pairs, trend, wave trading only, 0.05 lots. 4 max trades allowed, 2 multi-trades :clap: :clap: :party:

Same here. This week has started out well. I am using MA and Stoch filtering which seems to keep me out of bad trades and I usually close manually to help me not give my pips back. I adopted Wolfes style though and run 10 multi trades on trend arrows and 15 on wave/arrow combos. Still working on a reliable exit strategy as I think we all are.
