The other thought I had was just activating GW for an hour at the start of the new D1 candle each day. This would limit the trading to a max of one hedged basket to close during that day and since price usually moves far enough one way or the other from the daily open to close a basket this could also be more painless.

Finally as I am also doing some testing with MADDY for MAD-EA what about if we only activated GW for an hour at the start of the new D1 candle each day on a pair we we have a D1 signal to do so. Of course we are now limiting GW's trading massively but with 28 pairs and the pip hungry grid trading monster that GW is...

Have been running GW for a while now and really love the Daily open setup that Gertje is experimenting with.

I have been using it differently, I always trade looking for impulsive vs corrective moves when trading manually and particularly for pullbacks into the 20, 50 EMA and 100 MA during the London session. I have had GWs time set to late at night so he is not doing anything during the day then launching the grid manually with the button that Steve has placed. When I see a corrective pullback into either the 20 or 50 EMA and it looks to me to be finished and staying inside then I launch him. This week I have had less DD doing this as he might only tag 1 or 2 levels one way before the impulse move goes the other and also keeping a low pip/profit target for each basket.

Had such an easy day trading demo today with it using this entry, GW loves pips, so much so that he doesn't care which direction he gets his fix. It is good fun.

GA, GJ, GN, GC, were all trades using Gertjes Daily Open method the rest of the pips were GW doing his thing with me trying to launch him where I thought there could be a strong move or an impulsive move, no trade manager other than the settings in GW himself. There is no way I would would normally make over 600 pips in a day and so far this week I'm up 1404 pips.
