CC, You said to never trade against the market bias. You also mention HPTP in your notes. It appeared to me at first that HPTP was bounce from Fast Tma Line and 2nd occurrence of Tma Slope weakening into buy/sell zone. And that an HPTP changed the market bias. But you said that really only DP crossing MP changes trend (aka market bias?). This now seems like I've interpreted incorrectly. Where does the 2 occurrence Tma Slope weakening come in play? BTW, I can make the MP cross vs bounce into code I believe. Really need to know mainly other than the definitions in market bias section of your notes, and other than DP crossing MP when WP is between, and if a cross and not a bounce, causing market bias to change, what else cause it to change? You see also I have 2nd TmaSlope weakening occurrence built into all HPTP trades (which looks like I was wrong and it just needs one occurrence?), and it changing market bias every time (not just DP/MP). I figure that either I read your stuff wrong and/or can't see so many possible combinations. For instance, if PA cross DP and PA cross WP each are treated the same, I don't code this as a separate entry strategy. Of course each programmer is different, but you can see from the print-out on chart that I don't see and can't possibly imagine trying to put 30-40 different scenarios on chart. What is the same, and what sets it apart. For DP cross MP, I think I've got it. Other HPTP I'm wondering about as far as affecting market bias. BTW, when you define in your notes that DP moving up or down is involved in UT-R, yet this is not the case in case of MP bounce into UT-R, where DP is going down, yet you enter when PA crosses DP, and told another poster that DP doesn't matter since you trade UT-R and UT-RR. UT-RR trades I have a problem with since you would be buying as price is going down which does not seem HP. Other than that, I understand we shouldn't trade against bias, and will code it that way. Just when this is not true (the exceptions), that has to be taken into account, and I can understand others and myself having problems grasping this. Your explanations are helping though. Thank you. Kindest regards, Don |

Here is a pic of same area of EURUSD that has been discussed. As I see it, there were 2 trades by the rules we know, and 1 more trade by your posts since rules given that show a trade we wouldn't take as learners and readers trying to understand. We have the first red vertical line where we are in UT. Price breaks above WP, and looks to me to show re-entry criteria, including pullback into the buyzone (green on new TmaSlopeCTS indicator). This was a loser as price never made it even to 1:1. Please mark up on the pic where entry, SL, TP would be. If you would not have taken this trade due to bad R:R, please also note that. I am having a hard time with understanding how to calculate SL for pivot, is Wiggle Room distance from price to pivot? Is the additional Volatility Margin pips a user input or not? Then we have the trade you say you would take at he the 2nd red vertical line. We have MP bounce, back in direction of trend, while in UT-RR. We have you saying you would take trade after MP bounce and price crossed DP, and price was on top of 20 SMA, and TmaSlope didn't pull back to green area buyzone. I hope you see why with your written rules we would not have known yoy would take this, as it disagrees on multiple points with what you've written. I understand now why you would take it. So I just need to make separate rules for MP bounce vs rest of rules. No biggie. Just knowing these things and being made clear the exceptions is just as important as knowing the regular rules. The changing of trend looks to me where you disobey your written rules a little bit, and is also where I think most people having trouble with the understanding are also having problems. And also calculating Wiggle Room pips, Volatility Pips, where these are placed (added to/subtracted from entry price?). Then the last red vertical line, we see where Jermook (and myself) can see this is UT, meets all criteria what you've written in rules for Tma Band bounce and/or pivot cross (so definitely meeting criteria for two types of trades and trade would be taken if not waiting for 2nd occurrence of weakness like EA is coded now, and went up nicely. EA wouldn't have taken this trade because it is currently coded to wait for 2nd occurrence TmaSlope weakening. Please let me know I'm wrong on this cause I think I am but want to be told). Again, would you please mark up Wiggle Room pips, Volatility Pips, SL, BE, TP. Seeing these things hopefully will help me code them all for you. Not my first time coding the stuff, and in fact can probably use code from Steve's EA if I have any problem. Making everything a separate function allows us coders to be able to copy and paste. For instance, someone may want to have a display like mine in their EA. Instead of starting from scratch, they can just copy the function that draws labels and re-work it for their need. I do thank you very much for offering your strategy free. For this, I am willing to make an EA for free. I could make an EA for a failing strategy. I've done that hundreds of times already. I'm ready to make an EA from a strategy someone actually uses to make money and is willing to explain the strategy. Here's to hopefully helping us all. Helping you to automate what you do manually now, and helping the some of the rest of us be able to do what we haven't been able to do maybe up to this point: consistently make money trading Forex. Kindest regards, Don |

Now here is a sell trade the current EA would take (right or wrong). Bounce from HPTP Tma Band at top (red vertical line) would meet criteria IF the HPTP trade waited for 2nd TmaSlope weakening AND HPTP would change Market Bias (for if not changing market bias, we can't take trade, since can't trade against market bias). I hope I'm making my code in EA clear by print-out on chart (and pic like this one), so it can be changed if needed (note: the print-out on this chart is not correct, for one because I just put it on chart and simulated tick because market is closed, but the hope is that by putting text on chart I we all can see what EA is doing, so if it is wrong, it can be seen and changed). Kindest regards, Don |

Glad you like it, Fable. It's good to get some positive feedback for a change. Thanks. |

Hi Don, Not everything you said in your first post was clear to me but I kind of feel that the clarifications in the upcoming guidelines will address most (if not all) of them. You see, I originally gave only one set of entry conditions for all 8 pivot formations (if you separate RRs into RR1 & RR2) but now believe that there is a need to go into some detail for some special scenarios - it doesn't negate the original conditions, just enriches them. I trust that you will let me know if the update does not cover all your concerns. Cheers, CC |

Hi Don, The first line shows re-entry criteria? Really? How, because I do not see it? Sure momentum is weakening but that is not an entry criteria on its own. Never was, never will be. Price is nowhere near a HPTP/Lower Fastline cross nor is an edge possible (SL is always set below the lower Fast line for a UT and for an edge, TP has to be at least twice SL pip distance without the TP level going above the upper Fast line). No, Don, entry conditions are not in place here. Don, you have loaded Baluda's TMA Slope with its default settings before I have released it in the new template. To make it look like it will be in the new template, change the value of the limitLow from 0.55 to 0. You see, momentum weakens in this case (UT-**) from -0.8 upwards, and entry is from -0.55 upwards so from -0.55 up till 0, momentum is weakening (and therefore valid), then begins to stengthen from 0 upwards. Any weakening momentum above -0.55 IS valid. Firstly, CTS does not trade only UTs & DTs, you know. In fact you do not need CTS for that as NB10.2a covers it. That said, this is also valid (weakening mom, closeness to Fast line, gives an edge), just not better than the one I highlighted. The person who got in earlier where I pointed out will make more pips than a pure NB10.2a trader and may even be adding to the original trade at the point you pointed out thereby doubling the profitability of the trade! If you believe this is a failing strategy (not a "maybe I don't get it yet" strategy), then I do agree totally that it will be no use making an EA for it 'cos no one will use it. I want to try to help you get it, I really do. That is why I am repeating things here that were already stated at the beginning like how to set a SL and how to get an edge. Beyond these clarifications, I'm not sure what else I can do to help. Let me know. Cheers, CC |

I'd like to continue the EA, that's why I asked questions for clarification. Sorry if I have problems understanding. This is why I asked for you to markup the chart in the examples. If I have a problem with placement or calculation of wiggle room pips (e.g. on pivots), volatility pips (calculated or user input?), then that affects SL placement, R:R calculation. I can use band for TP. But if not for R:R disqualifying that one trade, my understanding of re-entry includes pivots, not just band bounce, so unless R:R disqualifies that trade, it would meet the criteria if re-entry includes pivots. Also, the weakening was first put into a zone (not including 0), now includes 0. I think I am trying to understand. I hope you can agree that this looks like a change to the rules, and it's not the first one, and it's not just me. I guess I'll wait for update to see if there are examples that may help me. It's pretty obvious I'm too dense to get it first time around without needing to ask questions. Don |

I can't let this pass without comment. If you took the time to read people's posts properly and more importantly, REPLY properly [because you haven't replied satisfactorily to one single question of mine], then you'd realise there hasn't been any negative feedback about the strategy. The only questions have been requesting more information. I've had several PMs from people telling me that they can't understand what you are teaching. You are constantly adding things to this strategy. You talk in extremely vague terms about "not anticipating, but fast following." Everyone is scared to say anything in case you get them booted from the forum or stop "teaching." And then, your ego chimes in about not being interested in "frivolous" stuff because you are too busy making money. Ha!! You say you are sharing it for people to learn from. This clearly isn't true. You want someone to do your coding for you free of charge. After it's done, you'll disappear. Well, I've had enough of people like you posting incomplete stuff on forums, trying to suck people in to do something to their benefit. I'm outta here. And you can say what you want about me, because I won't respond. |

Thanks. I'm glad you like it. If you liked the mind-twinsting write-up in the original notes, then you'll love the elementary english and simple diagrams I am using to construct the upcoming Clarifying Guidelines. If anyone does not get it after reading that document then I simply cannot be of any help. |
