Post subject:  Pivots - need coding help
Thanks swg. I have literally looked at over 30 different indicators (including the ones you posted....)

I wonder why there are no mq4 version of those pivot indicators which only paint the levels in the right hand free area when using chart shift or limit the "ray" to present day / week / month for the respective levels.

Bob is trying hard to make a clean layout, but for me there are too many lines....

As we have so many great coders here:
1. How would I code the "level rays" to the chart shift area?
2. How would I code the weekly pivots to only show for the present week
3. same for monthly levels?

BTW, have a look and use the attached indy on your charts (I use it for H1! - no mq4 either), it is quite interesting how often max ADR is respected for a reversal. Please adjust TimeZoneofData with GMT shift of your broker, lines only become solid after either top or bottom limit are breached.

4. How would I code the colour / line change from dotted to solid upon breach?

Just another picture to prove that if pivot settings are good, it shows. See how price bouncing off or dashing through and later visiting back those pivot lines. Bob's new daily pivot (upgraded three pivot lines system) is perfect (daily line is the same as THV daily pivot). If anyone wants to use old 10.1 daily sr levels without cluttering the screen, it can be downloaded from ff, NeoTrader kindly modified it. Also, I have added to my screen the THV weekly/monthly indicator. Interesting that with one settings it show weekly lines, exactly as Bob's weekly lines, only one week later. It seems that Bob's weekly sr lines work to some degree the week after they are drawn as sr lines (you can see last weeks monthly pivot to work as res 1 line (WFPV) this week from the THV indi). These are just observations, nothing to add to Bob's system but compliments very well. I still check Bob's other templates and use the near original ones for higher TFs, easy switch because of simplicity, anyone can do and it is worth to do as well.

I feel like a hg owner already. I can not imagine what else can be missing from such a good templates combined with such a good guidance, to see which way to trade. Thank you Bob and all who contributed.

First I want to thank all of you for your support and encouragement. As some of you know I run and operate a school for foreign children here in China. It has been a really rough road this last year and basically business has gone slowly down hill since the Olympics with the bottom falling out this summer. I have had a high of 58 children in the school and have slowly declined since that mark. Of the 47 students I had at the end of the school year only 22 have come back. However, there has been some life shown with 8 new students so far registered for the fall. With layoffs and renting out half of my school space, I will once again be viable and even profitable this next year. I am now looking forward to another school year and hopefully time for some trading again. Anyways to all the messages, emails, phone calls and contacts, I wanted to say thank you for your support.

Thanks for your great work.
I advise you teach english for china children, its more profitable and enough children.
Most china parents desire their children have a native english speaker teacher.

I have the only school for foreign children in all of Guangxi province. No competition. English schools are a dime a dozen, difficult to start, high turnover, and constant competition. In the complex I live in there are 3 with store fronts and probably a half dozen operating out of their homes. No thank you. Appreciate the thought though.

I see there is more competition in this sector. But as you described it the competition is very bad.

Since you already have a real school for foreign children that should have a better reputation and image than your competition, why not address the higher class of Chinese that want their children to learn English in a real foreign school with real teachers?
If you can communicate your uniqueness and strong points to this customerbase it should/could make a difference.

Also only a thought since i don't know the real circumstances...but you are a smart man and i think you know what is possible.

Chinese students are not allowed in foreigner schools, only foreign children. If I could take Chinese students I would be a millionaire. Same with foreigner churches in China. Only those with non Chinese passports are allowed to attend.
