Could we incorporate an ATR(5) stop loss rather than 200 pips? I have another strategy that uses ATR(5) quite successfully. As we all know, different pairs have different daily ranges and for some 200 pips may be too much. Even GBPNZD ATR (5) is currently 183 pips.

Just thought I'd throw in my recent results. I put V1.2 up on demo a week ago, FXDD, $10,000 account.

Using OOTB settings, with the exception of changing the Bollinger Bands to period 10, Standard Deviation: 1.0. I'm attaching my set file.

A week later, six trades have closed out, all in the black, for $691 increase in equity.

Four trades are still open, all in DD for a total of -$300. This leaves me with total equity around $390, as I write this.

This EA looks really great! Sure hope it holds up.

I looked into it, and ATR(5) indeed makes sense. Looks better than a static 200 pips SL for sure. Thanks for your input! Btw. which timeframe are you using for ATR(5)? H1?

Hi Al3xx,
appreciate direction - after loosing a little faith in the original 10.2EA and failing in live and back testing I still saw the massive value in the trend spotting and continuation with TMA plus historical pivot behavior form NB so I played around with my own preferred trading strat of efficient trade entry on trends or reversals with pull backs on Daily - Using TMAslope normalised with stochastic 14,3,3 on top and pivot SR levels ....I started to see patterns ... effectively "daylight" between the stoch OB OS and the TMAslope that provided entry signals- I will develop further before bringing in a complete form to the table -

However in the meantime and solely focused on the above 10.2 I look forward to developing this EA and look fwd to seeing a robust EA that manages different mkt conditions and provides a good % return

Is anyone using MPTM for the full control of SL and TP?
I assume that if you are using MPTM, then you are also using fixed lot size, am I right?
If possible, could you post your MPTM .set file?

Another thing is using hidden SL/TP which are not showing up to eliminate any criminal thoughts by your FOREX criminal to get your trades to that points...
One way to do this would be to set TP at 1000 pips, SL at a "backstop" value (that your criminal sees) - say 200 pips (as is), turn off all trailing/jumping stops, BE etc and run MPTM, which will control the trades regardless of what the Autotrader is doing.

I can't help with the set file I'm afraid as I don't really use them - I change the EA and recompile. Also I am not using MPTM for total control of the trades - just for global closure as posted earlier.

As for the above comment - why would you assume that? MPTM and risk/lot size are not related unless you are using partial closure.

As far as I tried , you can't use the MPTM with the 10.2 EA, the EA will force the SL/TP the MPTM will do nothing.... If someone has been using them both with success please share.

This brings the Woh calculation in house. External indicators are no longer necessary when using this code.

Al3xx - may I ask you to add an option for 0,5% account lot sizes? ATM the minimum is set to 1%.

Hi all,

This is my first post here, I'm a long time fun of Nanningbob since his strategy 4.5 on Forexfactory.
I've let go with forex for a year or so but now I want to get back trading. I was also following Steve on Forexfactory and I'd like very much his EAs with NB strategies.

I'm trying this new 10.2 EA on a demo but I've just started yesterday so I was wondering if there's anyone here that is using 10.2EA on a demo/real account and can share some of results.

Thanks to Al3xx for the great job and to Steve for both coding the initial EAs and of course for this wonder of a forum!
