It is my understanding that the moving averages are LWMA or linear weighted moving averages. Both of them. |

Hi Tommaso, I hope it's OK to ask the following question:- Could you advise which if any of the written experts can check that the same large HGI arrows either(Green or Red) occur on three different TF, say H1,M30 and M15 within a selected number of bars from each other. Then initiate a trade on the showing of the arrow on the lower TF in whatever direction the arrow indicates. Also with the facility to set SL, TP, BE and trailing stop. If you can advise it would be appreciated. Many thanks for your time. Regards Oldfella |

When you change TF you change the math used to compute the arrows and other indicator markings. So each TF is its own indi and they dont necessarily correlate. Whats a strong trend on a 15M chart may only be a blip on a 4H chart. |

Hi Nanningbob, Thanks for the explanation, it clarifies why more often than not the signals appear at different times on the various TF, and a very big thank you for HGI, this is a fantastic system. However my question was to see if any of the EA's produced by the genius coders on this site would be able to monitor the various signals and then initiate a trade based on the following method. 1. Check H1 for a signal, either arrrow or wavy line, preferably blue. 2. Then check M30 for confirming signal as above. 3. Finally check M15 and if and when found make the trade. I do this every day to get into the H1 trend. Thursday using this to spread trade the EUR/USD I was stopped out at 50 pips,Friday 20 pips. My problem is like many others spending too much time in front of the screen, also the H1 signals often occur when I am still in the Land of Nod, so I was hoping that there was an EA , so that I could to do other things with my time. I am not a coder although I am trying to understand how it works, but at my advanced age I am never liable to produce anything that would do what I want. Anyway thanks for your guidance. Regards Oldfella |

Thats not my dept. you need to go to the EA sections and ask those professional coders. I could see problems in trying to code that monster though. The Baluda SuperCSS however has that feature so you can try that one and see if it meets your needs. http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 101&t=4888 |

Hi Guys The best way, that I find Hgi works for me is to wait for the candle close and assess if it has broken through an area of support. Hgi trend signals are almost always from a pullback and an area of support. Below I have attached a picture of a trade taken based on an Hgi trend signal. Patience is needed when we trade these signals. We can also place pending orders below these areas of support. Cheers Leon |

Hi Guys, Ok so here is a buy stop counter trend trade that I took based on the blue trend wavy. I always base my entries on the blue 60 Lwma set to open. More things I looked at to make my trade decision. 4Hr and daily stochs were turning up. Weekly pivot and monthly pivot converging. Convergence of daily open. You will see that the magenta lines (daily open) are lying next to each other. Was like this for 5 days. A sign that the down move is getting exhausted. I believe if we combine these factors with Hgi we can make it successful. We should not look at Hgi as the one and only factor in making our trade decision. Cheers Leon |

Sell stop placed just below support zone Eurgbp @.8500. I love round numbers ;)Level either holds or price smashes through. Factors: Hgi trend sell signal daily time frame. Stochs crossing 50 level on daily t/frame. Cheers Leon |
