Just checking. You do understand that the position of an HGI signal does not represent the market price at which the signal was generated, don't you? And that the position of the signal at the time it was generated was merely an attempt to keep it clear of the market?
Hi Steve,

Not sure I am 100% with you but yes of course an Hgi trend signal for example will remain a trend signal on the current candle only if the candle closes in the direction of the signal and continues in the direction of the signal but if not and the the market continues against your position, there is no more signal. Therefore I know it is not 100% but merely an edge to enter my position and more so If I have sixths and superslope on my side.

Cheers
Leon

Hi Guys,

Ok so here's the thing. It did not work exactly the way I wanted it to. At some point yesterday the Daily Hgi trend buy signal on EurUsd fell away, and obviously led me to entering one more sell trade on the hourly timeframe based on the hourly sell trend signal. All good, superslope in my favor. 1Hr Trend signal eventually became a range signal today and warning signs were already there that the daily Hgi trend buy signal could be a reality.

This morning I closed my one sell trade for a small loss and immediately opened a buy trade on the 1hr hgi trend signal as the daily time frame once again showed a trend buy signal. All good the market continued in my favour and triggered my buy stop placed yesterday which was just above the previous day high.

Daily Hgi signals are powerful and as we all know trend signals are usually generated on a pullback and it would usually take powerful forces to invalidate any signal generated on a daily pullback by simply smashing through everything, this in my opinion is a true reversal if it does happen. A consolidation on a pullback usualy spells, a move back into the trend being on the cards.

Ok so what do I look for when it comes to a trend swing? The daily must become a sell signal whether blue wavy, trend, range or rad signal and in my case EurUsd has shown no signs of a swing yet. The 4 hourly signal must at least show a blue wavy signal and well the ultimate a trend signal combined with the daily signal. The 1hour time frame simply becomes a trade entry opportunity combined with the higher timeframes.

I know I have broken my rules to fit in with sixths but yes wanted to test this for myself. So patience would be required and certainly if you trade this manually.

Buy trades at breakeven and yes a sell trade which I could not close, simply because I still believed price might go down :) Anyway we might just have a big reversal soon. We shall see.

Please by any means do not see this as the only way to trade Hgi. This has worked for me simply because it suits me.

Cheers
Leon

Hi Guys,

I have opened as sell trade on EurUsd, well here's the thing we have reached Monthly res2. Today is the 20th and from past experiences trades like to make it back to monthly pivots from the 20th onwards and monthly pivot way down. We shall see.Of course these things happen in ranging markets on the higher timeframes.

I did open a buy trade as per my Hgi rules and effectively am locked in profit. I will assess what the next day or so holds.. maybe will open more sell trades.

Cheers

Hello team.
I have noted that the blue trend wave and yellow wavy trend keeps on repainting on 15m and H4 time frames. How does one trade the HGI indicator profitably.

This cretin has now joined the august group of those unable to post at all here at SHF. It can still read posts and download attachments (at least I think it can - not certain) but can do bugger all else.

Cretin when you read this: break the habit of your useless lifetime and do some reading here. You never know, you just might learn something from doing so. Unlikely given your level of stupidity, buy hey - there is always a first time for everything.

I remind inexperienced SHF members that lazy stupidity is not welcome here.

Post subject:  HGI - Daily and Weekly time frames?

I do not have the time to trade 4H charts.

Does HGI offer the same great results trading D1 and W1?

Thanks!
