I could be wrong, but I think once price has crossed under WP for a long, or crossed above WP for a short, then that's the decent retrace we're looking for, so if it goes to S1 for a long or R1 for a short, it doesn't really matter because we already had a decent retrace at WP. Exception to this is a bounce off the WP which happens a lot, which would also be a valid setup.

Right. So there's really no need to mention the weekly resistances or supports, let alone the monthly. Just wondered if I was missing something.

I am saying it doesn't have to cross over it on a retrace - i.e. it can bounce off the WP and be a perfectly valid setup. Also at the start of the week price could drop to WS1 for example and have H4 RSI(2) pinned low and an H1 CSS colour change (from red to gold/green) would be a valid long. Neither of these involve a direct WP cross.

That's my understanding anyway and it makes sense to me. Basically it is a way to enter earlier and requires the retrace otherwise it is NB 10.4 - which although a WP cross in itself is a valid setup is not essential.

EDIT: I just re-read Jeremy's Page one description and it doesn't mention a WP cross??

Hi, Pipstubborn, I don't know what is your hardware but for me I modifie my installation: I was window 7 32 bits with a machine of 64 bits hardware I change for window 7 64 bits and I add 4Go of memory for a total of 8 Go my cpy is intel 9400 4 heart. Now I can run what I wan without a very lag...
the next hardware I plan to buy will be intel i7 (3e generation with 8 Go of memory ( kingston Hyperx 1600 mhz) with an independant video card .... I think it is will the best for a long time. If you plan to buy a new computer think about an industriel model socket 2011 and motherboard ASUS, it is can run 24h/day)


I hope that help you... sometime it is better to spend some money for a new installation but I don't know if you can apply this for you..

Yes you can also reduce the number bar FOR EACH CHART and if not enough....thing to buy a new one or ask at the reseller to verify your computer...

My freezing happens on the peak hours only and sometimes in the evenings, acording to the seller to many quotes downloading within a narrow band. I should try 25 or 50 mbs but is more expensive.

Hey pips - before you go spending a load of cash you should know that I have a PC designed especially for trading Intel i7 (quad core??) with 16GB ram, SSD boot drive, large independent graphics card (actually 2) and fibre optic 25MB/s+ internet access. I still have slow downs at peak times and I have reduced the number of bars etc etc

I actually think that the issue is with the indicators themselves - or more accurately Empty4 and how it deals with indis. I think (Baluda/Steve/coders please advise) that indicators do whatever it is they do every tick (and presumably cannot do their thing every bar close like an EA can). The ONLY time I have any slow downs is when there is high tick volume - e.g. around news, London/NYC opens etc If you try doing anything during the Asian session or where markets are closed i.e when the tick volume is low, or there is none, you will see zero lag with whatever you want to look at/change timeframe etc etc

If this assumption re. the limitations of Empty4/indis is not correct could some genius coder please just set the 10.4/10.5 indis to do their thing each M1 bar close?

I hope this saves you spending a heap of cash then finding out you still have almost the same problem.

That's a very good suggestion Dave.

FWIW I don't think that having a multi-core processor helps because (if I'm correct) Empty4 doesn't have multi-core addressing capability.
