I didn't get a basket close last week although I realize £150 is seriously pushing it trading 0.01. I could have closed with about £40 in profit on Thursday but letting this set run like this gives me some good info each week on what a sensible target would have been.

From the last two weeks it seems closing sometime end of Thursday would have worked well..

I normally will close out sometime Thursday when I'm flat and enjoy a nice long weekend.

Sorry I've not been able to post much lately. We are dealing with a shit storm here in Houston.

Just an observation and maybe a suggestion.

One of the things I am noticing with these algos, particularly on the the m1 set, is that they start opening orders while price is still pushing hard in a particular direction which leads to the account heading into draw down. I was thinking that an additional filter could help alleviate some of the DD pain.

One of the things I always look for when price is selling down is for an hourly bar to close higher than the previous hourly high. This indicates to me a halt in selling momentum and usually a turn begins back to the long side.

The same thing is done with longs. I wait until an H1 has closed lower than the previous bar's low before I start to stack positions to sell. In this way I am usually always in the market long or short and not long on the wrong side of the trade or in a great deal of draw down.

I looked at the code but this is very advanced stuff. Would it be difficult to add an hourly filter before we buy and sell while keeping all other code the same? What are your thoughts on this gentlemen?

You want additional filters then prove they work here first of all, then I will consider adding them. I am not going to add filters willy nilly just on the off chance that they may prove valuable.

Much as I respect you DC, I am not going to add layers to complexity to a simple trading proposition unless people can prove they are valuable. Please remember that Awesome started life from a spec sent to my by TJF; a spec that represented one of his manual trading methods.

Just had a brainfart, what about having 'awesome' or 'PoS' enter trades and handle the recovery, and leave the 'GTWV' to do the BE and stacking part?
Would this work?

Now to find the sweet spot for the stackingdistance..... ;)
