Ahhhh....I see... than my proposition is for the trash... How did you land in china anyway? And how long do you live there? Just curious. P.S.: By the way... I am working on a pimped up version of the tma slope...do you have any wishes you want to be implemented? We already started a little discussion on Baludas Indicator thread. SMSCom has provided a mod with verbs rules and a slope with the tma of a second timeframe. Looks very nice. You can see it here http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 269#p16269 |
Chinese students are not allowed in foreigner schools, only foreign children. If I could take Chinese students I would be a millionaire. Same with foreigner churches in China. Only those with non Chinese passports are allowed to attend.
Yes, Foreigners are not wholly-owned Chinese school, but a joint venture schools is allowed for chinese students. |

Hi Bob I have attempted to trade many systems and EA's in the past and have followed 10 and 10.2. It has taken awhile for me to half understand the mindset and logic with your systems. However it has really fallen into place with 10.2a I have a clearly defined mechanical plan now and know exactly when to pull the trigger. I sincerely wish you all the best with the school....you may only have 40 pupils but in the cyber world you have helped hundreds..I feel now I am starting to become a fisherman. I would like to make a small donation from my winnings to either your school or charity. Could you please advise account or payee details. Many many thanks...Jeff |

| Post subject: | Pivots |
Gents I'm going to way in on the pivots issue. Many perspectives here with some validity, but from experience I can say that it is better to have pivots aligned with Friday NY close as the end of week (and month), with any sunday price action included in the monday candle. Most price action aligns with the NY close based pivots. Cowboy IBFX provides very non-standard candles (including sunday candles) as it's base feed which don't give as clear a read on price's response to the pivots, and regardless I'd rather be with the big money and herd on this because it's their actions that create the price action in the first place. I have coded a few pivot indicators (for Empty4 and Jforex) and I've attached my latest version which is a significant mod based on other peoples work (i.e. SDX-TzPivots released by Shimodax). This has adjustable GMT hour for your crim's server time, and adjustable GMT offset for your target close hour (if you so desire). It also include a whole lot of wizz-bang features based on Frank Ochoa's Secrets of a Pivot Boss which help you determine if a day will be trending, breakout or wide-ranging. This is a pretty heavyweight indicator so I don't recommend using it for Bob's method, but the core function (ComputeDayIndices() and GetOHLC() ) for adjusting the data feed and determining previous day's high low open close could be extracted and used in a more suitable set of pivot indicators. It is designed to create daily pivots, but the same logic could easily be adjusted to create sensibly aligned weekly candles as well. |

OK Except for Monday's Pivot they agree exactly with mine. In other words except for the Sunday Pivot calculation they match. So Monday is the only day they disagree. I will play with it and see if I can exchange it out and see. With adjustments in my pivot probably make them line up and end of this issue. If Monday is the only day we have a difference then. Unless of course this indi just matched up with Cowboy IBFX time then we still have the same problem |

Bob - I think with the daily pivots the only issue is Monday - the real issue with Cowboy IBFX/GMT brokers imo is the weekly pivot, as that obviously shows a difference all week. |

I do not have Sunday candles but I feel Bob's lines are OK, picture attached (Alpari UK, GMT+3). I guess sometimes it is Bob's lines that do not work (I mean with his broker, Cowboy IBFX), it is just the nature of the discrepancies that we have to bear with. On the 1H and less I use the THV (very much similar to the SDX one attached as new indi few posts back) weekly and daily fib pivots as aids only, keeping Bob's lines on the chart too, neat and handy and allows me to test and decide which lines work better on what TFs. |

Hi, I have been reading everything to do with Bob’s last few systems both here and on FF and they all seem very good am just starting to play with 10.2a. This is my second account I’m half way through loosing so hoping to keep hold of this one and not make it to the 3rd account Anyway using EA’s is all new to me so I’ve been leaning and reading and a little bit of playing and blimey Steve you have written a lot... anyway while I’m playing I have the EA’s currently Simple Shelley and MPTM on my demo account and I keep stopping them and then re-starting getting to grips with how the close outs and such work and every time I run them the trades go into profit normally within 30mins. I look at the demo account and think man why isn’t that my live one Just wanted to say ‘hi’ and thanks for all the info you guys are sharing. Mick |

Hi Bob, out of the box, SDK-pivots won't match up with Cowboy IBFX time, so your current ones are the same except the monday pivot, and the new weekly pivot which will vary more or less depending on how much price moves post 5pm NY time, and prior to 00:00 GMT japan open. |

| Post subject: | About the pivot lines again |
Just an addition. Bob wrote this in "Weekly and monthly pivot lines" doc: "The best part of these is they draw lines for every week and month so you can back test and study them." Most probably he referred to the simple study of past lines and the behavior of the pairs in between and across but you can study the current lines and price behavior around these lines in the past, too. I have placed five lines on R1,R2,PP,S1,S2 levels and put numbers on the screen close to the lines and where price action did stg significant near the lines in the past (the indication is not complete, you can find more points like that). The point again is whether the lines you get from Bob's indi have any meaning in the past. The lines should be SR lines so these lines must have a record in the past (price turnaround or a bunch of candle necklines seen near or right there). After matching them with past highs and lows you can still decide whether these are the lines you want to play at for a cross or as a point of reference. If your lines are out of tune with past price action then you have an issue and your lines do need adjustments. I think this is how this issue should be looked at from the individual trader's point of view. |
