**EDIT: Nevermind, commenting out the entire bar check section in the EA seems to make it work for now.

I seem to be having a problem as of today.

Every time I put this (v. 1L) on a chart, my Empty4 client basically breaks. It just freezes once it starts checking bars on charts. When I restart Empty4, the EA is still active on a chart and it immediately freezes again. I have to rename the file in my experts folder in order for Empty4 to work again.

I have endless loop set to false; (which, if I read the thread correctly, was resulting in freezes when set to true)
AllowAdditionsToBasket and OnlyAddToOpenBasket set to true.
All of the charts I am using have enough bars, this was checked when it was working before.
MinimumPercentOfBasket is set to 2% (This should not cause problems, should it?)


It is frozen right now but Empty4 is not using much of the CPU at all and about 130MB of ram. I have no other EAs running.

Any ideas how I can fix this or why it would be happening?

Same issue here. The Bot freezes on startup. I have to disable the EA then reload Empty4 then turn the EA back on a few times until it 'takes' and reads info correctly.
Plus all stop are failing on this EA and Slopey Beast?

I just deleted a earlier version I also had and it eliminated the freezing problem

Running v1L
2 trades were open : Sell CHFJPY and Sell EURJPY
I changed TF and the 2 trades were immediatly closed.
Don't know why...

Best not to change timeframes whilst an ea is running. I do my best to make my bots independent of chart timeframes but cannot guarantee to code for every possible eventuality that any individual trader can come up with under every possible circumstance.

Hmm, reading the above para makes me wonder why I even bother to try. Note to myself; stop trying to be all things to all people.

Mind, I do sort of take care of this with my usual post 1 Serious Warning, when I state that users have to understand how to use EA's. Ok, so lots of unspoken stuff there, but that is because speaking it would make my post 1 unreadably long. Amongst the unspoken stuff is that changing time frames whilst running an ea can have unpredictable consequences. As a coder, I can code for predictable consequences. Bugger all I can do about those I have not predicted. Change timeframes whilst running an ea an the results are unpredictable. Ergo the results of doing so are unpredictable............................

I haven't had time to follow it, but I strongly suspect we could still find lots of opportunities if we were looking at direction instead of level. E.g. picking a random example: AUDUSD D1 slope turned down on 7 Aug. I would have used the H4 peak as my entry (when the D1 slope was still +0.65), which would have gotten me in at about 1.0570, right near the peak of the move. It took just a few pips of drawdown and it's been as low as 1.0410 since then. I think the direction says more than the level...
