Trading seems so simple in monthly charts... EURUSD. Euro is in trouble. GBPUSD. GBP begins to recover. CSSWeekly shows clearly direction for both. EUR down, GBP recovering. As a result, let´s see EURGBP.... A big downwards movement is coming. And it comes exactly with the closing of the month (today the candle dies) beneath 2MA (240 in 4h). Signals in 10.4 are so accurate! |

The yen headed for its longest string of monthly losses in more than a decade on prospects lingering deflation will prompt Bank of Japan (8301) Governor Haruhiko Kuroda to boost stimulus measures at a policy meeting next week. The Japanese currency slid versus the dollar this quarter as Kuroda pledged action to achieve the central bank’s 2 percent annual inflation target. A report today showed consumer-price declines accelerated in February at the fastest pace in 2 1/2 years. Dont get sucked into JPY strength lately. They are about ready to roll out their program. Euro weakness looks like it will continue for a while. Usually that brings the other euro currencies with it, however this time time we may see a uncoupling, I can be sure the SNB (CHF) will do everything it can to keep from appreciating. Probably the GBP will be winner by default and will appreciate some. The commodity currencies or the USD will then be left as the currencies that will appreciate. The CSS will tell us which ones they will be. You should be able to take this news and do some good consistent trading over the next several months. |

Why is that, Staedtler? End-of-month issues rarely affect Forex - Equities/Options ... yes. Where were you Monday-through-Wednesday? The market is never slow ... it is a Taipan! I agree the past two days have seen some consolidation. The activity on EUR has been anything but slow this week. Trading 10.4 is an exercise in cat-and-mouse, where you are the cat. You wait patiently and the market (mouse) comes to you ... then ... Staedtler ... have you been placing pending orders as 10.4 is designed to do? The week started with the usual fake gap that we are now accustomed to in FX ... which only gave opportunity to alert 10.4 traders to get ready ... set ... then followed a banquet of pips. I only traded EURAUD because of time constraints, but even so I nailed three pendings for 191 pips, and I am a rank beginner at this, and open to correction as I know nothing when it comes to what the market is doing. I trust 10.4. Read what Bob and others are writing about possible strength in certain currencies this week, and focus on those (while not ignoring other pairs). Current alerts (for me) are: AUDCAD AUDCHF AUDJPY AUDUSD EURUSD GBPAUD EURAUD EURCAD EURNZD GBPNZD NZDJPY There should be a trade or two in there. |

I rarely trade the eur/chf, too much SNB interference. gbp/cad and gbp/nzd you really need to know those two to trade. gbp/cad is one of the great range trading pairs, just look at the monthly chart often to grasp and understand that one, and gbp/nzd is one of the most exciting pairs around. You have to give that one a ton of room but I have found it profitable most of the time. If you can trade gbp/nzd successfully you are a successful trader who stand above the crowd of good traders. |

I had 700 plus pips by wed and then the week died quietly for Easter break. I took a short on the gbp/usd with a short SL which was hit and had two small winners for thurs and friday. So ended up with 699 pips for the week. Will try again next week. Gonna enjoy my weekend. Take bike ride around the city today and dinner/BBQ along the gulf side harbor. The Chinese set up BBQ pits along the bayfront and have hundreds of different dishes cooked to order. Sitting on a chair along the bay and letting the fresh salt air breeze through my hair. Watching the moon and stars along the ocean. AHHHHHHHHHHH I dont want to go home. |

i did about 200 pips since last thursday. i'm only opening 1 trade at a time, personal thing. i dont care about how many pips but how much gained. if i do a .10 cent trade over 10 trades, it won't make nearly as much as 1 trade at a dollar per pip. here's my trades i say it's slow because i see like eur/jpy or some chf pairs moving well over 100 pips in some days. i caught maybe the most was 70 pips in 1 of my trades. in the past 6 or 8 days. the rest were 30 pip movers and such. just seemed a bit slow .. maybe like you said " consolidation " made it seem like nothing was moving |

Ahh ... ok ... thanks for clarification, Staedtler ... and well done on those trades. I am a bit the same - I tend to focus on only one pair at a time, but try to max out the pips I can wring from that pair. Still on L-plates with 10.4 but have enough experience in trading over the past 9 years to know gold when I see it. 10.4 is a large, diamond-encrusted gold nugget! |
