You can find the zip file for 10.9 ver4 here http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... &start=860

It was never published as a full system by BOB, but as an experimental variation of 10.7 for H1 trading and lower TFs.
Kind regards
Found it!
Thanks Astral!

Hi Bob,
Thank you for your explanation. I am in progress of forward testing in the way you commented.
I will keep you posted on how I am doing!

I seldom trade lower TF 11.0 is the exception and my first run at the 15M chart in over 5 years so I dont have much experience or success at lower levels. However to answer you question on CSS. I was working on but never finished with using the CSS on different levels for a TF. For example if you trade the 15M chart you go up 2 levels TF or the 1H chart and trade in the direction of the 1H chart. Then have CSS set on a lower TF which would be the 5M chart.

So lets say on the 1H chart JPY is on top and you want to trade the USD JPY on the 15M chart. When the 5M chart crosses JPY up against the USD, in other words the JPY line crosses up on the 5M chart in the same direction as the JPY is on the 1H chart, you would look for a JPY buy or usd/jpy sell trade.

So lets say you want to trade the euro session. Write down in order the the currencies are 2 TF above you are trading. 15M chart write down the order of the 1H chart. Then set the CSS on the 5M chart and when you get a cross going in the same direction as the 1H chart enter your trade on the 15 chart. Whenever they cross back on the 5M get out or whatever parameters you set for TP/SL.

Post subject:  Testing Multi Timeframe CSS

Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know if there anyway to back test CSS movements using multi Timeframe for better understanding?

Hello everyone,

There is a steep slope of both GBP (up) and JPY (down) respectively @ 1H TF, expecting this pair to go up or retrace, however it's not reflective on the chart.

Moreover, there are 2 bearish candles (yellow arrows) while both currencies are having a steep slope.

Could anyone care to explain :) ?

Thank you,

Thank you,
As CSS calculation is based on the TMA-Slope calculations, maybe this article http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/kb.php?a=16 in our knowledgebase can help you to understand more...

Cheers :)

Hi
I am looking for CSS with cross alerts (either pop or email ones). If anyone knows of its existence please let me know where it can be found.
Kind regards

Many thanks Tommaso, much obliged. If in the future you have some time and if it is not too much hassle I would be very grateful if you could add CHF to this indicator as well. It is not urgent. Thank you once more.
Kind regards

Thank you,
If you go back and read the instructions you will see we take the read from the Daily Chart. Jpy is strong and GBP is weak. You are trying to read the 1H which shows a retracement in the trend. Take your reads from the daily CSS per taught in the first 4 pages and then go to the individual charts and see if you have a trade. That is how it works.

I'm guessing most folks using the Daily CSS have noticed that pretty much all the majors are between the 2.0 and -2.0, or pretty near one of the 2 lines, pun intended ;). Is this an indication of a 'spring loaded' situation? Would welcome any insights into this. I'm relatively new here, but have been learning to use the CSS for a few months. Haven't seen this type of indication son the CSS daily before.
