Given my ambition to create an auto trader that total noobs can run safely on a tiny starter account, this is good news.

It is absolutely FANTASTIC!
I am running it on a cent account with Forex4U and average about a closure per week and as my PC is finicky
I cannot yet join the database to get a look at better set files.
Nonetheless, it is an amazing piece of work

Hey Steve,

Was Gareth's draw down before you put SPB on it? I missed that part. I've been having good success on demo with a small account too and so I took SPB live last week. I'm also sending the trades over to Thomas and Rene with their database thingy.

Yup, for the first time in a long while, I have an equity drop of 11.1% at the close on Friday. Seems some of the changes I made last weekend were not too clever. I have not made any changes this weekend, I am going to let it run and see what it does.
Remember mine is a Live account with Global as suggested so I am a little more cautious with this account and it is still 9.4% up on the starting balance, so no need to panic just yet.

Yes. Mostly from GBPCAD, bulk of losses (75%) comes from that pair alone.

This is yet another lesson not to get greedy and bank profits when you can, and not to over-trade.

My "butchered" SPB version was restarted from scratch last Monday morning, as I always have done for the past 5-6 weeks.By Tuesday mid-day I had accumulated well over 4% in profit - one automatic basket closure and one manual. My approximate target is ~4% per week, following Gertjie's long term successful live test with PeakyOnSteroids (PoS).

Following that target, I should have stopped the EA for the week, and took some time off. Instead I left the EA going, hoping for more than 4% weekly gain - greed. As a result, everything had turned against me from Wednesday morning, and now I am sitting at -12% since the start of last week, instead of being up +4%.

Yet another lesson on FOMO and greed.

Agreed, my three biggest DD pairs at the moment are; EURCAD @ £23.72, GBPCAD @ £64.45, USDJPY @ £39.39.

I have an idea. Not sure if it is useful, but I have to share. Imagine the scenario:
1. SPB opens the trade
2. Price goes against us
3. D1 SS changes its direction, so SPB closes all pendings on this pair and leaves open trades that are now creating a DD.

What if we have an option to close THIS-PAIR-basket at BE or small loss/profit? So if the price makes for example a fast intraday move in our direction and then comes back, we can have a chance to close trades on this pair at BE and they do not affect our ALL-PAIR-basket closure with DD.

SS can change back again quickly. There is no point in closing trades unless there is an opposite direction trade signal.
