Guys, Leon is feeling the sort of frustration that I often felt many years ago, before I developed my robust way of dealing with dimwits. Leon is a gentle soul, unwilling to press the nuclear button. I am not a gentle soul unless you are a teen. I doubt there are many teens here, so most of you are in danger of a ban from me. There are too many idiotic posts from lazy and stupid people appearing at SHF these days. So I give everyone this fair warning: post lazily and/or stupidly and I will ban you. I do not care whose thread it is. I am on a dimwit-banning warpath. There will be no warning and the security software that Tommaso has put in place will prevent you from re-joining. I remind people of the SHF ethos. SHF is a meritocracy, not a democracy. Got nothing useful to say? Don't say it. In doubt about whether to post or not? Stay quiet. Thanks Steve Onwards and forwards. Ok Guys, just to clear some confusion based on the Pm's I am getting. I have not moved onto a new system as per my test in Thomas's thread. My system here is something I am trading on my live account. I am doing it manually with TDesk. An Ea cannot see what the eye can see hence I am doing it manually and selectively when I get a signal. I look at weekly/monthly support resistance and peaky levels before I enter. This is afterall a thread in Nanningbob's manual trading systems forum and I do not wish to turn it into a automated trading thread. I am hoping that I can eventually turn my system in Thomas's thread, to closely resemble my manual trading system here. It is an evolutionary process that will not happen overnight. My dream is to sit back, take my dogs for a walk on the beach whenever I want to. Just relax. I am nowhere near there yet  I encourage folks here to post your setups so that all can learn from it. I will not spoonfeed but will be happy to help when I see positive contributions. Hope this clarifies. Cheers Leon |

Leon, good day to you! I am happy that you resolved to trade the way you choose and I can not judge but learn. Please, there is something I am putting on in the 5 minutes using your trading strategy, it is manual trading too, and when it looks good the way I desires then I am going to share it for people to modify or learn from it. But I want ask you a question. Do the STO7_D1_MA_TREND recalculates? That would be all for now and I hope you are not offended for me asking this. |

Hi GoG, No problem Bud, If you look at the daily stochs, it moves up, it moves down. When you look at it on an hourly basis if I am not mistaken it recalculates on an hourly basis. This is the thing when you are dealing with higher timeframe indicators. It has to recalculate. Most higher timeframe indicators will only recalculate at the end of each day which will be somewhat lagging. We are fortunate that Bruster created the original ribbon to recalculate at the end of each hour. It always refreshes at any rate by scrolling from the daily timeframe down to the hourly timeframe and should do the same when you go down to the 5min timeframe. It is more a wet paint issue and something that needs intervention to get the here and now. Definately not repainting. Cheers Leon |

GBP/CAD Nice example of a trade according to the system. I got the signal from HGI on H1 and at the same time we had the stochs agreeing on a uptrend on both H1 and H4. Almost 70 pips within 3 hours. |

CAD/JPY IMO, here we have an example of a trade that could be a BAD candidate for a BUY. While we have the GO from HGI on H1, we can see: - Stochs on both H1 and H4 are around the 80s - We could potentially have some resistance above at around 86.700 Its good to zoom out of your timeframe and see how price reacted around the current price. Does it mean that this trade should be avoided? Well no one knows and neither do I. But for me its better to wait for a better candidate so I ll stay out. |

USD/JPY I see quite the same as above for this pair. EUR/JPY I can see here a bit more wiggle room (an initial estimation of 70-100pips) so I have opened up a trade here. The important thing for me with such trades are to monitor them constantly and book a profit if possible within the range that I think the price will move OR close them quickly if they go against us. |
