Changes:
  • Optimized correction for Sunday Candles
If you have Sunday candles and trade on Sunday, please use this new version.

Enjoy,

Paul
Paul,
I see the values reported by SlopeValues (on D1 tf) differs radically from what is reported by 10.2 TMASlopeTrue NT v1.4B.4.30 which is the indicator Bob uses with NB 10.2a.
What Tmatrue indicator is your SlopeValues based on?

If you have a broker that has sunday candles the values would be different...since the TMASlope in NB 10.2 use this candles differently ...you can disable the addSundayToMonday Parameter and then both should be the same...

BUT...this setting messes the pivot order display on SlopeValues up! Anybody else seen this?

I have Sunday candles, but I don't trade on Sunday. I trade NB's latest 10.2A test version.

For my single pair charts, I'm using:
10.2 TMATrueSlope NT v7.13 -- tma TrueMode = true
DWM Pivots (v1.0.3) -- addSundayToMonday = true

For my dashboard chart, I'm using:
SlopeValues(v1.0.4) -- addSundayToMonday = true

Everything jibes. I don't believe 10.2 TMATrueSlope NT v7.13 is adding Sunday to Monday, but everything jibes so I don't believe SlopeValues(v1.0.4) is adding Sunday SLOPES to Monday SLOPES. However Sunday PIVOTS are combined with Monday PIVOTS in both DWM Pivots and SlopeValues(v1.0.4). This is how 10.2A is supposed to work.

I've gathered from Baluda and NT that:

TMATrue has the same effect as ignoreFuture,
Both of those inputs only affect how past bars are printed in the indicator window, and
Therefore a dashboard which only prints CURRENT values i.e., SlopeValues, has no use for those inputs.
Thanks RJo, I have changed both SlopeValues and DWMPivots to addSundayToMonday = false and it seems to have fixed the problem, even though my crim shows Sunday bars.

Im sorry if this has been already covered, but could anyone explain why slope strenght and slope value indies give different values?
Which one should be considered "more valid"?
thanks

Ensure AddSundayToMonday is TRUE on SlopeValues and use that one only. From what I can see this gives the best result.

Baluda,
In the last version 1.04 of Slope Values, you are mentioning the order of DWM pivots below slope value of the forex pair.
But I noticed that the "p" letter could be placed anywhere between DWM (beginning, last, middle position). Could you explain better this detail. Thanks in advance

Thanks, that does the trick.

effluvium, that tells where "p"rice is located in relation to the pivots. So if pivots are lined up and price pulls back under the DP, the indi would show MWpD. If price is screaming out ahead of the pivots, MWDp.
