Thanks Alex. The ATR 5 stop loss will be well worth it. Can´t wait for Recovery and a solid exit method.

I got kicked about by the Recovery implementation that I had to rethink it. I believe that to gain from recovery, the recovery entries need to be very precise otherwise we are left watching price miss by a whisker a recovery trade entry and then retracing long enough that if we were in a recovery trade we can recover AND then a heading back into the red!

I also have an interesting reply on recovery from censura a few posts ago that discusses hedging. He makes some good points. I also realized that the EA won't trade the opposite direction that we are trying to recover from (some sort of hedge trade). Need to see why.

I totally agree we need a solid exit. Several times I have seen pip gain turning into a loss that could have been avoided with a solid exit. Thanks a lot for the exit ideas you posted. They are brilliant and should go into the EA asap!

The first two exit options will give us TPs that make technical sense, the third one will serve as the safety net to catch all the trades that didn´t make it to the first two targets. There is nothing more frustrating in trading than giving up hard earned pips and turning a winner into a loser.

You are correct. The EA will not enter the recovery trades with the preestablished rules. I guess we´ll have to live with the new stop loss. That´s ok. The entries are very solid. With some good exit strategies, this EA will have few losing trades to recover from.

Hope this makes sense. What would be useful is the hedge trade being an option in this auto ea with variable of level ie -100pips, -200pips ect for when hedge triggered and lot size.

This strategy also allowed me to match lossing and winning trades on the principle of let your winners run and cut your losses

And after the last week testing the recovery implementation I did, I am looking to implement some hedging ideas you suggest and to give the user control of the application of recovery or hedging. Preferably before and during the first trade entry. The AUDUSD last week turned around and rallied at the monthly support 1 just after I had gone short. Recovery went on it's knees on that rally :(

You have it exactly right. This EA is a great trade entry monitor for many pairs at the same time, which is not easy to do manually. Unfortunately, it is not quite there yet at exit time. The way I see it, exits can be coded in any of these three ways:

1- The EA could exit at s/r 1 or 2, depending on the volatility of each pair in accordance with Bob´s Pair Volatility table or user selectable.

2- The EA could exit at opposite band of H1, H4 or D1 TMA, period 20, ATR multiplier 2.0 (User selectable).

3- Finally, exit can be implemented when H4 20 period Slope value drops under 0.40 for longs or rises over -0.40 for shorts.

Numbers 2 and 3 would be my preference. I currently exit at cross of opposite H4 or D1 band with my manual system.

Ideally, the ability to select any of the 3 methods would be great, but at least, one of them should be available to seriously consider running the EA live full time.
I failed to mention that the conditions above would apply only to trend trades, since range trades, I believe, already have exit conditions in the current code at relevant s/r levels.

EA Took a long on EURUSD and the new ATR calculated stop loss was precise at 101 pips. Now to see how it plays.

I've been trading your updated version 10.2 EA for the past few weeks, and really think one of the last things missing is some some way to avoid trading during high impact news. I use FFCal (attached) on my charts and was wondering if you can add the indi into NB? For example I've attached the parameters from Topbot EA that also uses FFCal...

This sets up triggers for long trades based on the Bid price. Shouldn't this be the Ask price?
