Your welcome. I’m only trading USD depreciation right now. Every time I see a dip I buy EUR, GBP, AUD, and NZD against USD. Doing very well. Expecting this to continue until 1.50-1.60 range eur/usd. Then we’ll see what’s next.

Hi Bob,

Very interesting. Now you have me curious and I'm hoping maybe to learn something.

I have been trying to do something similar lately, but only with GBPUSD. I have been using HGI on the 4-hour chart and waiting for HGI to send sell signals as a setup, then using the next buy signal to enter.

When you are committed as a trader to something like GBPUSD rising on a long term basis, do you still wait for an HGI buy signal after a pullback, or do you use a different strategy for entering a new trade? I've been toying with the idea on GBPUSD of buying every time the Sto 7,2,2 dropped below .15 then moved back above it. Earlier entry but more risk if price keeps moving against you, so if I employ that strategy I think I would split my trade into three parts.

Anyway, I learn something every time I read one of your posts, so thanks again for everything you've given us!

Since I’m doing long term trading right now I’m just watching high end charts like daily weekly and monthly charts. Since all the USD have reached the monthly trend lines I’ll be entering longs again soon. Expecting the longs to take off again. So basically I’m trading bare charts. However following big arrow buys on HGI should do very well soon on 4 hour chart. My trading logic is posted on the last couple of pages in the Economics section.

USA is the worlds biggest currency manipulator and they are depreciating the crap out of it right now. Basically the Trump and Bush 2 starting points were the same for EUR/USD when they were elected. I’m expecting the same results Forex wise. It can be seen on the monthly charts.

Saying all that I have no idea what tariffs will do to the markets.

Bob, thanks for the reply!

It's still true - I learn something every time I read one of your posts.

I have been using HGI mostly with Daily charts this year because of my schedule, but I'll keep my eye on the 4-hour chart of GBPUSD for my next long trade on that pair.

The daily charts are doing well for me. If I am around to catch an email when I signal comes through, I go ahead and add the trade right away, but most of the time with the daily charts, even if it is only at the end of the day I'll still go ahead and trade the signal from that day. My only filter on following a trend has been to use TMA lines set to 60 periods with a 3.0 multiplier. If I see a rad signal outside of those lines, I've been ignoring it. So far that has worked really well.

Thanks again!

Steve, Thanks, and it all starts with you and everyone assisting you in providing the platform in the first place. The rest of us plug merrily along, oblivious to all of the work it takes to keep the forum up and running without being cluttered with you know what.

It's taken me a long, long time to learn patience and be willing to trade the daily charts. The amazing part is how care free it is. Just an occasional email with a signal or checking the charts once at the end of each day.

I ask you not to reply to what I am about to post because I do not want this thread hijacking into an, "Aren't we doing well?" thingy.

I have and always did have, a vision for SHF. My mods buy into it and enforce it. They are a fantastic team.

Tommaso provides the 'back end' support that makes it all possible. SHF would not still be here without him. He will become this forum's owner if anything happens to me.

I say again that it is brilliant to read how you are prospering from your membership. Those of us managing SHF love to read posts such as yours.

Bob's advice already paying dividends again.

I was mighty tempted to jump back in to a long trade on GBPUSD at the Monthly Pivot around 1.40 showing on my daily chart, but I am content now to wait for the daily chart to give me a yellow squiggly line first, then look buy signals on the 4-hour chart. Of course, I say that, but it looks like we are at the monthly support 1, and it is already calling out to me and tempting me. :?

I hadn't been displaying the range buy and sell HGI signals on the daily charts, but last week I started showing them and having them send me emails. I haven't placed any trades with them yet, but I have to say that they've been ultra reliable so far, and on a daily chart you can get a pretty good move on a range signal.

Happy trading!

What I am really loving about trading HGI on the Daily charts is looking for a chart with a long run in one direction and then letting HGI pick the top or bottom for me. EURUSD, if you jump in sometime in November of 2017 on a buy trade when price is down near the bottom of the TMA Line, you could have ridden a very good run and added trades all the way up to the 1.24 level or so.

With my new strategy, I would have avoided the rad buy signals on the way up that were outside of the TMA lines. But after price faltered a few times in the 1.25 range over a couple of weeks, HGI got me out of buy trades in February and I've been looking for sell trades since then. We'll see how far they go with 1.20 looming and weekly support line 1 as well.

I've been adopting one of Bob's other pieces of advice as well. The first sell trade on EURUSD was for 1/3 of my full lot size that I want to trade. That way I can either add to it if price keeps falling, or I would have been protected if price had reversed, and would have just looked for the next HGI sell signal for the next 1/3, even if it was another 500 or 1000 pips away.

hello all.

been watching/using HGI on and off since couple years ago.

I have a question and a suggestion/question.

1, wondering if it would be possible to have direction bias feature, so I would be only getting buy OR sell signals. its useful when you have 10 currencies in short term 5/15 min., it would be useful/neat/clean for people who uses alerts, etc.

2, there are some pictures that people attach here, and there's a yellow dash line around candles. so far couldn't find any info on that. mine doesn't have it. changed the settings and didn't enable that. what is it?

thanks.
