Hi I have been using the Ea for the last week and have noticed that two trades are being placed at the same time for the same currency although the trading times are different on both eur/usd charts can anyone help?

Same pair different chart use different magic number.

I run the same 4 pairs in both the London and US session, however I use the same EA with magic 444 for my 4 London session charts and the same ea with magic 111 for the US session....So, although I have EA's attached to 2 x euro charts, one has magic 444 and the other 111....Do you see an issue with this....?

The less pairs traded, the more profitable it will be. Don't be tempted to get all the moves in all pairs. You only need to get 3 x 3% to hit daily target. 5-10% way too much for daily target. I will be even happy with 4% daily returns.

Just trade the USD and JPY pairs according to sessions for the first 2-3hrs. These pairs trends nicely when it moves compared to other lunatic pairs which spike for no reason taking out the stops.

Just extra careful with GBP pairs for news. I got caught with GU yesterday and lost 20pips instead of 10 for slippage.

Run it in different settings and report back here end of the week. What matters is average weekly gain of 10-15%. You can lose 20% one day and gain rest of the week for about 5% daily. You still be up by 5%.

For the final time, this is my setting:

TF: 1H/H1 (don't fark around with other tf)

TP: 10

SL: 10

Stoch: True

Trailing stop: BE +1 after moving 5pips (double edge knife, sometimes better not having it)

Daily limit: up to individual (I set at 10%, most of the time I get it during Asia and free during London)

Trading time: first two hours only

Tokyo (AU, AY, NU, NY, AN)

London (EU, GU, UCHF, EY, GY, CHY)

US (I hardly trade since the daily limit of profit or loss is hit)

This is not set and forget type of trading. I still move the tp sometimes to 20pips or nearest S/R when trade is moving after news to catch the spikes. Instead of getting 3%, I sometimes get 6% in single trade.

I do use additional filter MA set at 50 EMA on 1H to limit the trades (sometimes better not having it).
Hello dsugumd, I find your posts very helpful, thank you. I read the Udine-thread and this one. May be my English is not so good and I have little experience with expert advisors. I also find your settings logically.
I hope you can help me with short answers to the following questions (I Number it so you can respond shorter):
1 You ALWAYS take the end of the NY session as D1OpenHour for trades from London Open; even when the difference in pips between NY Cose and London Open is high?
If you trade NY-Open; what time you then take (about 18 h between NY Close and Open the next day?)?
2 You Always work with "Max.Alowed pips Movement" = 0?
3 You wrote that you limit the max. spread to 2 pips. Where and what do I have here to input in the EA?
4 You wrote you do not use trailing stop but write later: "Trailing stop: BE +1 after moving 5pips". Where should I enter what here?
5 Is there a plan to 50EMA as a filter in the EA integrated?

Closing out the platform for week. Not a bad week considered having some losses. Overall about 10% gain for the week.

The Asian session was not good this week, mostly BE. London seems the only session that was profitable.

One thing I notice is that trades usually go bust if bid is between Frankfurt open and US close. I was interested in this zone for some time. PA need to breakaway from this zone to make a move otherwise it will be range bound.

Also need to look into previous H4 candle close (bull or bear) next candle will most likely follow it.

Will add in this zone filter and H4 next week and see how it goes.

Almost break even. Should not trade when there are no news scheduled for the session. Volume too low or price action non existent.

Today have few news, that should give some pa before and after the news.

Hi there! Thanks for all the work and ideas, I'm really grateful for your kindness and willingness to share :)


Quick question:

Because I work in shifts (3 different shift), some days I will have to use the New York session. Which pairs would you guys use if you where to use the EA during the NY session? Or how would you go about finding which pairs are best to trade with this EA for that session?

EDIT: I found this site http://market24hclock.com/trading-day.html , according to their graphs of volatility, I would guess GCHF; GY; UCHF; GU; UCAD; EU. Or maybe I should get a ATR indicator that only measures a certain time range? Does that even exists? Or am I over thinking this? Thanks.
