At the moment I am using various settings that you can find in post 2 of this thread (you have also an Excel spreadsheet with the risk associated). I am thinking about an individual basket option for the SL (option is available in dashboard V3.0 that I should post in a couple of hours). MAJOR UPDATE V3.0 IN POST 1 Update include: - PP Dashboard V3.0 - MPTM Plus EA V3.0 - New Indicators and templates package Same post in PP Dashboard & HGI Dashboard thread as this update is concerning the 2 dashboards. To tell you a little bit more about me, my trading journey has started 12 years ago by trading stock markets and a few years later, in 2007, I have discovered the Forex world. I jumped in immediately and like almost every newbie I lost some money trading EAs (shark…) then moving from one strategy to the other and always looking for better indicators. Since a couple of years I have stopped jumping from one strategy to the other and I am trying to put all my little knowledge together to make some profit on a regular basis. When I started this process I had some really nice returns and I managed to increase my trading account steadily by almost 700 % in 5 month with a solid strategy. And then the classic scenario happened, I have been too greedy, and I opened some overleveraged position on oil and lost almost all my account in no time. Until 6 month ago, I was trading manually exclusively, and then I have started this dashboard project… Initially, when I have I started this dashboard project, I wanted to have a dashboard in order to monitor easily my open trades and closed trades, and also to have various signals from indicators to potentially open trades. Six month after, the dashboard can be used as an EA and has a lot filters and functions to manage trades. My previous dashboard versions up to version 2.0 were mainly oriented EA’s to automatize trading. With this new dashboard version V3.0, I went back to my basic idea which was to have a dashboard to help and assist manual trading. With this new version you can trade manually and let the dashboard manage your trades or you can trade automatically like the previous dashboard version. Now that the core structure of the dashboard is finished, I can implement new strategies really easily. So starting from now: Do not expect a lot of additions in the dashboard structure, we already have a lot of filters and trades management options available. Do expect bug corrections if needed. Do expect new dashboards with new strategies. V3.0 updates: New dashboard update ==================================== Manual Or Automatic trading ==================================== At the top of the dashboard inputs tab you will note a new field: “DashboardMode”. You can choose between 2 modes: Automatic_Trading_On or Automatic_Trading_Off. Automatic_Trading_On will allow the dashboard to send automatically signals to MPTM Plus EA to open orders. Automatic_Trading_Off won’t allow the dashboard to send automatically signals to MPTM Plus EA to open orders. In order to open trades you will have to click on a button to open buy or sell orders. Then the open trades will be managed by the dashboard and MPTM Plus EA. (You still have to use the same configuration than before, with the dashboard on one chart and MPTM Plus EA on another chart with the same magic number). More informations on the buttons bellow. You should use Automatic_Trading_Off if you want to use the dashboard to trade manually. ==================================== Display Custom filters ==================================== In the previous dashboards versions, the custom filters were always displayed on your screen, even if you were not using them. As I needed some space, now, they are displayed dynamically on your screen only if you activate them. Before: Now: ==================================== Manual Trading Button ==================================== One of the main addition to this new dashboard are the buttons: You can activate or deactivate buttons and change theirs color in the dashboard inputs tab “Other stuff, AddButtonToTrade”. - 1st button to open a buy trade - 2nd button to open a sell trade - 3rd button to move all pair’s orders to break even (if possible) - 4th button to close all pair’s orders - 5th button to delete all pending pair’s orders The buttons will send some signals to MPTM Plus EA to manage trades, which mean you need to use MPTM Plus EA (again make sure to use the same magic number on the dashboard and MPTM Plus EA). The buttons can be used for manual trading and also to manage trade opened automatically by the dashboard (EA mode). Buy and sell buttons (B/S) ======================== The lot size of the buy and sell orders will be opened accordingly to the settings in MPTM Plus EA (The buttons for buy and sell are using exclusively strategy01 settings and comments). So, if in MPTM Plus EA your settings are like this: The EA will open 1 instant market order with a lot size of 0.01 and 5 pending orders with a lot size of 0.01. Breakeven buttons (BE) ======================== The BE button will move all the pair’s orders to BE if it possible. You will have to control the settings at the bottom of MPTM Plus EA: With the settings above, if the orders are at least + 10 pips profit and that there are not any stop loss value higher than this one, the stop loss will be moved to open price plus 2 pips. Close buttons (C) ======================== The C button will close all the pair’s orders. Delete buttons (D) ======================== The D button will delete all the pair’s pending orders. Buttons managing all trades ======================== At the bottom you will note 3 additional buttons ( BE / C / D) which will manage all trades (move all trades to BE if possible or close/delete all trades). ==================================== Profit Plot Curve ==================================== Renexxxx has developed a great indicator “ProfitPlot”. Many thanks for this Renexxxx. This indicator plot the profit levels as on a chart. It stores a data point for each reading in a binary file, so that when the indicator is restarted, it still has all the data. You should read this thread to have a better understanding of the indicator: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =27&t=3894 I have included Renexxxx’s code to record the profit into the dashboard code. You have 2 buttons under the pair list on the left side of the dashboard: Record Off: button color grey, status off. Record On: button color green, status on. When you click this button, the dashboard will record the dashboard profit (only for the dashboard magic number) into a binary file. If you want to stop recording the profit, you have to unclick the button. The dashboard is writing the button status into a csv file, which mean that even when you close and restart your MTCrap platform, the dashboard will know if it has to record the profit or not. The second button will open a chart and show the recorded profit. I am using Renexxxx’s “Equity monitor” indicator to display the profit curve. (template & indicator attached in post 1). You can modify the settings in the inputs tab “TemplateNameProfit”. Renexxxx’s Equity Monitor indicator can display the recorded profit up to 8 magic numbers which make it easy to compare various strategies settings. I might introduce later another recording option to monitor equity and balance… More on this later. ==================================== Individual basket ==================================== In the previous dashboard versions you had the following options available: Close individual baskets: TP in cash or %, SL in cash or %, and JSL in Cash only. Now you have a pips option also available: Close individual baskets: TP and SL in pips, JSL in pips. I think the JSL in pips could be a really good option to manage PP dashboard open trades (including pending trades). I’ll prepare a template with settings and explanation in another post. ==================================== Global basket ==================================== In the dashboard you have the option to close a global basket of trades when the % of open trades reach an amount (loss, profit or multiple levels). As we had some problems to monitor when the target was reached (discussions with Richard in HGI dashboard thread), I had an option in the dashboard to take a screenshot when we have a global closure in the dashboard. Screenshots stored in MTCrap file folder. ==================================== Open chart on click ==================================== In addition to the previous clickable object, I added a new one. When you click on the daily pips results (not current loating pips), a chart will be opened with the template specified in the input “TemplateNameClosedTrades”. I have added this function as on some strategies I am using a special template to analyze closed trades. ==================================== CFD, Metal, Oil ==================================== The dashboard is now supporting CFD, Metal and Oil. The tricky part is concerning the pip/tick factor per instrument. At the moment, in the dashboard & MPTM Plus EA, the pip/tick factor is hardcoded with FXCM instruments (my current broker). In my future developments I plan to add some code to automatically recognize the factor and adjust it according to your broker. (Global prime is available but replaced with FXCM for the moment). ==================================== MPTM Plus EA ==================================== In the previous versions, you had the option to change the lot size calculation per strategy only. In this new version, you can still change the lot size calculation per strategy, and you an also change the lot size calculation per pair. This option is useful if you want to increase your exposure on a list of pairs and decrease it on other pairs. How it works: In MPTM Plus EA you will notice a new field in the inputs tab: “LotSizeMultiplier” for instant market trades and also for multiple pending trades. You have to adjust the values per pair. You can change the values from the inputs tab menu or you can change the value in the mql4 file directly (easier). Open MPTM Plus EA mql4 file, go to line 3717 (Ctrl + G to go directly to this line) and change the value according to what you want. Every multiplier is in line with the pair which make it easier to adjust the values: Just make sure to have a value in front of each pair otherwise you will face an array out of range issue. MPTM Plus EA will use this multiplier to calculate the lot size value if you turn on the option. You have an option to turn on the multiplier per strategy (S01UseLotMultiplier…). If you use a fixed lot size it will multiply this value, if you use a K balance lot size it will multiply this value. (Multiply by 0.x something if you want to decrease the exposure). In order to monitor the lot size calculation, I have added an option in MPTM Plus EA to show this calculation on the screen: Turn on the input “ShowLotSizeOnScreen” and select which strategy to show and you will get this on your screen: 1 – Pair 2 – Initial lot size used (Fixed or K balance) 3 – Multiplier used per pair 4 – Final Lot size used to open trades 5 – Show the final lot size to open multiple pending trades. ==================================== Alert popup ==================================== As the dashboard can now be used to trade manually you can find a popup alert option in the dashboard. ==================================== Files stored on your computer ==================================== These last dashboards versions stores CSV or BIN files on your computer for various reasons explained above. From time to time, have a look into the various directories and delete useless files: - MTCrap\MQL4\Files\Dashboard: Store dashboard screenshots and the status to record or not profit - MTCrap\MQL4\Files\PP_Dashboard: Store the exit price target to delete multiple pending trades - C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\MetaQuotes\Terminal\Common\Files: Store in MTCrap common terminal the bin files used to record your profit per magic number. ==================================== Source Code mq4 ==================================== As this dashboard is almost the final version, and considering the time & effort I spent to develop these tools, I have decided to stop sharing the dashboards source code. My plan is not to sell this dashboard, and I don’t want people to use my code to make some cash. There is not limitation (time or account) and various people have access to the code to make sure it will continue and keep it updated (Tommaso, Steve, Macman…). ==================================== Work in Progress ==================================== - I am currently working on a filter which detect ranging conditions (this filter is available only in HGI dashboard at the moment). This filter shows potential ranging conditions. I still have to add the trading conditions associated with this filter. I will probably add this filter into all my dashboard once finished. We had some problem with this filter in the previous HGI dashboard versions. When the filter was on, some users had an array out of range issue when they were loading the dashboard. With the new HGI dashboard version the problem should be solved. If HGI users can give me their feedback when they turn on this option I would appreciate. - New strategies. Now that the core structure of the dashboard is working fine I can go back to business make some pips and work on new strategies. I have a few ideas that I will share in the next coming days/weeks. Many thanks for your kind words. I have forgotten to upload the PDF dashboard manual in post 1, I will do it tomorrow as I need a break from the computer now. One more comment, in MPTM Plus EA you will notice that I left some multiplier values for various currencies, I will modify that tomorrow and change them with a default value of 1. PS: I will also update post 1 with a template and Renexxxx's indicator to monitor profit. Cheers, G |

This is outstanding I have had fantastic results on my live account ..... the one addition I would like to see is the `` only trade currency twice filter `` I have tried to add the code from Steve`s shell EA , however, despite a 0 error compile, the function remains disabled? This dashboard is a piece of art and I hesitate to attempt to make any changes to it.... however, I believe the addition of the filter mentioned above would allow for better risk management Thanks again for sharing this dashboard............ you have made a major impact on my trading |

Hi Guys, Attached in post 1 the missing files from yesterday. I was a bit tired after a long day preparing the post and the manual. Post 1 updated with: - Dashboard shell guide manual V3.0 - MPTM Pus EA V3.0 (Same version, in yesterday upload I have forgotten to put all lot size multiplier to 1, you can re-download this version) - Indicators & template, you can find in the indicator and template archive WITH Renexxxx’s indicator to monitor the profit curve and the template I am using with the dashboard. Quick wordS for new users: For those of you who have not followed the dashboard development since the beginning you might be scared with this beast which have a lot of options…. A good start would be to read post 1 and my latest post explaining V3.0 update. You can start using the dashboard on demo with OOTB options and then tweak them as you want. I tried to split the various options in submenus to make it easy to setup. First you can let all the options on false or 0 in order to disable them and then play with the various options. I am sure than in less than a week time you will have a good understanding of how it works. Cheers, G |
