Rene Spectacular results and low DDDDDD. I have one question, see chart. What looks wrong about this picture. We seem to be buying GBP a lot in a sell scenario, as you can see from the report it was all bad. I was using ootb on a H4 chart and hands off. Even GBP couldn't hurt the results, 6 baskets and 6 winners, phenomenal!! Thanks Again Ray PS: added the GBP charts |

Hi Guys, Also from my side spectacular results the last two days, running on all Rene's test pairs with the addition of Eurjpy:good: I have split the magic numbers so that I can get a sense of where I am heading. All Magic numbers are included in gridmaster to manage all trades. Magic number 213823 set with Hgi on the daily t/frame. Running on all Rene's Pairs Magic number 213824 - Hgi 4hr t/frame. Running only on UsdCad. Magic number 213825 - Hgi 1hr t/frame. Running only on UsdCad. The Reason why I am testing 3 t/frames on UsdCad is because I want to see the relation between opposing Hgi signals with all the different t/frames and possible natural hedging that could occur and of course Gridmaster to manage the trades on top of that. Hope I make sense I have been manually closing basket profits hence so many trades from my side but looking at Traderduke's few trades with a good return I could possibly let the Ea run on its own, will look at this next week. All trades are now closed. Have a nice weekend Cheers Leon |

Hi guys great stuff going on here! Will hop on the train next week and test along. I've got one important suggestion though. I've realised its importance only recently myself. Considering that Global Prime's standard leverage granted to clients is 1:100, it is so important to use said leverage during demo-testing as well! Using a higher levered account allows for much more margin and thus for much more trades to be taken. The flip-side is that more leverage on a given account means there's also higher potential risk involved. The point is that the performance of any EA that trades on a rather high frequency will be affected by and different depending on the amount of leverage you choose. However Global Prime does grant more leverage upon request. Of course this only after they've done their due diligence and accept to go with the risk profile of the requester. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that during demo-testing one should pick the same leverage amount one has on his/her live account. Cheers and have a good weekend everyone. Aram |

It is good to see you guys having fun with the latest HGIDancer/GridMaster. On my side everything was picture perfect up to the time of the ECB Conference on Thursday 20th. Then this happened: The 9% balance gain that I had up to that point was quickly gobbled up by the massive drawdown. I left it open just for laughs and giggles, and would you believe it ... the drawdown got largely reduced to where we are now. What can we do about this? Not sure, but I'm thinking of two things: 1. A news filter on GridMaster. When it is to embark on a red line, tell the Dancers to close up shop and wait out the storm. Problem with this is, though, that most definitely there would be a drawdown at that time (there almost always is), and this exercise will become costly especially with many red lines. 2. Don't let the GridDancers open too many trades in a fast moving market ... i.e. have some kind of 'speed limit' of say 1 trade/hour. Problem with this is that the damage could already have been done (with a stack of trades in the wrong direction) before the market starts to move like a maniac. The way that HGIDancer/GridMaster works (when it works) is as follows: HGI is a predictive indicator. It tells you where the market will be heading in the near future. It is pretty good at that job, however, it is not always right. By having many HGIDancers work in tandem, the law of large numbers comes in, and the ones that got in trouble can often be bailed out by the ones that are on the right side of the market. I believe that 90% of the recent success of this combo, is due to the HGIDancers choosing the right side of the market (thanks to HGI). GridMaster has two roles/functions: (1) It acts as 'normal' basket manager, in that it monitors the overall basket profit and issues a Rinse-n-Repeat command as soon as a set EquityTP is reached. Luckily, as the dancers are doing a good job, this occurs quite frequently. As we have seen in the past, it is crucial to have frequent Rinse-n-Repeat's as we don't want GridMaster to get into complex closing scenarios with both BUYs and SELLs (of the same symbol) open at the same time. This leads to GridMasters' other role: (2) To deal with a stack of BUYs above the market and a stack of SELLs below the market. This is a costly situation and can be resolved as long as there are other Dancers that are providing the cash to fund this exercise (i.e. they are on the right side of the market). GridMaster resolves the BUYS and the SELLs by closing the most negative BUY and SELL pair (which would be the highest BUY and the lowest SELL (of the same symbol) whilst the market price is in between), together with some profitable trades from other Dancers. This reduces the total 'spread' or 'height', formed from the lowest SELL to the highest BUY. GridMaster has been doing this on my demo account ever since it got into the deep drawdown and at the moment it seems that it is cleaning up the mess. In a rapid fluctuating (volatile) market, we might not be so lucky. Have a good weekend everyone! |

Hello everyone, Rene's recovery is definitely not a one off thing. I started my test a few hours before the ECB conference, knew of it but thought what the heck. when I saw the drawdown, i was going to restart the test but i decided to just let it run. what a magnificent recovery in less than 2 days..nice.. Thanks Rene, HAve a great weekend, everyone.. Sara |

İ have 2 ideas for gridmaster. 1-İn order to limit the losses it can be added an option like this ^'Hedge the orders when losses up to half of the ' minequitylevel to close orders '.Or we can use unique number for this loss amount like 25 dollars İf this number was 50 then when the equity loss level becomes up 25 dollars then Gridmaster will open hedge orders and sell and buy order total numbers will be equal 2-Second option is to close half of the orders when the aim profit reached. İ hope those two ideas are valuable to try.Best wishes |

Yes I remember that hedge option was available in RnR but it never gained popularity for some reason... Green pips for all |
