Folks,

I hope this helps to confirm. Till now, I do not have any AUDNZD nor EURAUD position open as I have set useCorrFilter=True and highCorrelation=80.

Having said that, now I'm having issues with wanting a Sell on AUDNZD after turning the filter off :lol:

Is this not incorrect

If using the useCorrFilter, the EA is assessing if a prospective order is highly correlated to an existing order BUT if the result is true (that it is highly correlated, so is likely to move in exactly the same direction) THE TRADE is being allowed rather than refused

The result of the argument - if ( isCorrelated( symbolNames[symbolIndex] ) ) return (true);
should return (false) because we do not in affect want to repeat the trade twice
It doesn't really matter if it returns true or false, the key is that it is exiting the procedure early so it doesn't send the trade. The actual result (true/false) from sendSingleTrade() is being discarded anyway.

New version MultiBob v1.1.9 in post 1.
Changes:
  • Fixed bug in NB 10.2a logic, entries now correct
  • Optimized looking for trading opportunities
  • Improved NB 10.2a logic, last 3 candles on 15M now need to be above/below daily pivot
Issues:
  • Lot sizing for SILVER/XAGUSD seems unreliable

One question, is the TP managed like in the NB topic ?

I can't find it in the code ? But I am tired so it could be my eyes... if yes, sorry.

Looks like it was GBPAUD. There were many (hundreds of) failures, then at 22:35:21 GMT+0 it finally succeeded.

Other than that, looking pretty good. I was running 10.2 until recently and it lost quite a bit. I started running 10.2a at (I think) about 2012.10.01 04:00 GMT+0, and since then it's closed about $2700 and it has $900 open, starting at about $36k, so it's up about 10% in less than 48 hours. Not BAD.

:evil: There goes my Demo account. Just did a Live Update and then wiped all the account details and with it my past 3 weeks of testing Multibob. I started with a 50K account and used 1% risk and after 3 weeks the open balance was around 53K!!

Congratulations, your speed with this is almost mind boggling programming for "amateurs". Interesting to see how it pans out. Our trials show mixed success.
The Silver /= 5 is correct, just not sure it is in the right place. I place it more direct to the SendTrade to ensure it works as silver is traded in packages of 5. I would not contemplate putting the factors in arrays as you do - but seems to work for most part. Well done!

Hi Paul,

It seems MB1.1.9 now automatically sets SL & TP even when I have zero value in stopLossPips & takeProfitPips. Note, I have not paid particular attention to this with earlier versions. FYI, my setting is all true for NB10.2 & NB10.2a.

However, XAGUSD & XAUUSD did not have their SL & TP automatically set like all other currency symbols, screenshot attached.

I did a test -- after manually setting takeProfitPips=10, MB1.1.9 sets TP for both XAGUSD & XAUUSD but it will not touch TP of AUDNZD & EURCHF, screenshot attached.

Are both XAGUSD & XAUUSD deliberately left of this "auto setting of SL & TP"?

P.S. While I am glad MB1.1.9 did not touch AUDNZD & EURCHF though I had set takeProfitPips=10, I'm not yet 100% sure if this is an advantage or disadvantage :D

Here's another interesting issue. For some reason & only for NZDUSD pair, ever since MB1.1.6 (28 September) took a Buy trade & strangely, as PA goes south, MB modifies the TP to follow the PA :shock:

takeProfitPips is set to 10, SL set to zero, Break Even settings is false, Jumping Stop Loss is false & Trailing Stop Loss is false. Why would then, TP follow the PA as it dives downwards?

I have tried removing takeProfitPips, removed EA & re-attaching it. Nothing I did from the front end, seems to stop it from following the PA -- downwards. Now I wonder if TP would bounce back upwards if PA re-traced upwards. :?

It is absolutely strange it is doing this and only for this pair. Not sure if anyone else is having this same issue?
