These are my results of trading SBB (marvelous job, Steve!), with GertJan's set-file (goed gedaan jongen!):

This is on a 10K demo account and I used 0.1 lotsizes and a CashProfitTarget of 200 (instead of 0.01 and 20).

I have been observing the ProfitPlot curve and seen massive drawdowns disappear in a matter of hours ... see:

The image shows the curve of the 5-minute profit/loss samples and I have added the 50-period HMA to it as well. This gave me the idea to create a little EA that would 'observe' the ProfitPlot and give me an alert when the HMA is pointing up -- that would probably be a good time to jump in. So, the idea would be to run SBB on demo, collect samples of the current UPL, and when the UPL is trending up, open the same set of trades, in the same direction on another account (possibly a live account). This could be a way to improve this already impressive system. Thoughts?

Regarding "Secret Stochy Trendy Bob" development I am frigging excited Steve plain and simple. A killer trend follower that stops trading before the first looser entry of a retrace, that's the potential. SSTB..................

Hi Steve, I found the CT were more trouble than they were worth and stayed with the Trends and I get better results. and less failed trades.

Thanks Renee for the report. If you look at the results, you can see clearly that most of the NZD pairs other than the NZDJPY were the losers. This is basically true on all of my other EA's and accounts as well, so that is why I decided not to trade NZD pairs anymore on any of my LIVE accounts.

Reasonably similar settings, run live on Global Prime for two weeks. Had already removed most of the NZD pairs. What I find of particular interest is the difference in winning and losing pairs. I'm quite keen to try paring down my traded pairs list to concentrate on those that have demonstrated statistically they are the best.

V 1l is in post 1. Please read the 'Stochastic filter' section for details. Also remember the code is untested.

Tell you what guys, I would not like to be a noob approaching this monster for the first time - and my response to some of the questions they want to ask helps me but probably does bugger-all for them.

I spend far less time testing than I do coding. There are guys here who have tested this beast far more than I have. Can one of you come up with a time frame and set file that I can put into post 1 and say to the noobs, "Try this to get started guys"?
