I've had a fool around with Baluda's new pivot indicators and I think it solves all of our problems. Bob, please download this and test it out. It's a single indicator that has the Daily, Monthly and Weekly values and works great from my testing: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 111#p16111 The setting 'addSundayToMonday' should make this match up on all br0kers and will hopefully put this issue to rest. Jemook, Thanks for wisdom on this bot - love the 10.2 style TF, T & R Trading suits my manual trading (which needs a tool like this to bring discipline) 10.2a better perf simpler even better Quick Q - I am used to backtesting on cleaned Axi data and try and make fact based decisions on such as look for optimised bots with net P>3 x RDD (plus a couple of other criteria smooth equity curve and no. conseq losses) judged on perf >80 trades. And use this to switch them off when they go outside of the backtest results e.g. conseq losses RDD etc. I'm struggling with this on 10.2 Auto EA- ps I'm not a L SOB looking for set files!! - but would appreciate some direction ref. why can't I get the 10.2 EA to perf. against above criteria? Should I go back to semi auto trading using 10.2 and semi auto manual tools which of course precludes auto backtesting.? If so which one light at end of tunnel on ATM (Auto Trade Mastery) or..? Jonathan I honestly have no idea what you are talking about  I suggest trading 10.2a manually until someone makes a holy grail version of a 10.2 EA. If you want you can join in the testing but I personally don't really trade the EA's I do all my trading manually. |

Jemook, I understand back to manual no short cuts- as a task for any trader which I have found useful it is essential to be able to write down any strategy in terms of: 1. Trade Selection Rules 2. Trade Timing Rules e.g. entry 3. Trade Management Rules I will therefore not look for the HG that does all three with 10.2a seamlessly but continue manual with 10.2/a and gradually where appropriate add EAs to support for example 2 and 3. Cheers Jonathan ps up 5% in last week on 10.2a using AUD pairs (manual) completely see point of 10.2a after 10% DD in 1 day with EU surge 29/6 on 10.2. |

Posted is a picture of a CHFJPY chart. Group 2, supposed to be moderate. Counter trades in this case would not have worked (although they were supposed to work to some extent) well. BUT: RWB lines seem to give good warning signals to the trader. I know it is ugly but it does seem to work. Red lines show areas where I would have thought of CT trades. What I see is series of failed CTs (except one but it would not have made up for all the loss). |

Hmm, why is it so quiet in here, has this thread been abandoned in favour of somewhere else? I am in 2 short trades just triggered: EURUSD off a break of 5.1 ma on 4H, reason slope <4 sell only, and EURCAD same as for EURUSD Targeting weekly support Demo account Still in a profitable EURGBP short with same strategy from monday. |

Also, Bob is taking a break. Just commenting here and there. There are so many people that have grasped the basics and are able to trade and teach I can take a break. Went to Guangzhou last week. Maybe the beaches at Bei Hai this week or next. Then I want to go see my family in the USA. When I return I will be getting school ready for the fall and will be near a computer most of the day again. |
