My job doesn't allow me to check the charts regularely. Even though I strictly stay on H4, sometimes I get a full SL hit at the 240. This is especially painful when 2 or 3 Buy/Sell Stops were taken out and then price turns towards the 240.

Jem's post, where he mentioned that he usually gets out with a small loss as soon as the CSS turn into the wrong direction, made me write a small helper, which automatically closes open and/or pending trades when the CSS turns. In addition it alerts CSS crosses to my iPhone in order to help me setting up my pendings in time.

The EA is based on Baluda's CSS library, which needs to be in the experts/include directory. (Thank you, Paul, for providing the CSS code puplicly!)

Let's see, if this will limit my losses ...

Gary,

Andy (MrLong) ran into a minor bug. Probably not of any use to your EA but better be safe than sorry.

Put this in libCSS.initSymbols() just before the last loop:

Thanks for sharing this! I got this message when I compiled the ea:
Function "libCSS.getCSSCurrency" is not referenced and will be removed from exp-file
is this a problem?
Also do you run it on 1 chart only - maybe on the Info page?

No. No problem. It is a function in the library, which is not used by the EA.

No, you have to put it on every chart that should be managed.
(I also made a version for my VPS, which only needs to be on one chart. However, it does not provide the alerts - only the closing of open/pending orders. Send me a PM, if you want it.)

I just put it on the audchf and it gave me an alert right away - but it is not close to a cross?
In fact it is doing an alert on each chart - is this to be expected? Do I put it on the chart and get the alert and then turn on the email alert and expect it to email the alert on the next cross?

No, it should only alert if the difference between the two CSS values is smaller than one. On my terminal with my broker currently this is only the case for EURCAD on H4. After that it will not alert this pair until the next H4 candle (unless the EA is reset e.g. by changing TF).

Just had a new H4 candle and got alerts on 20+ pairs - with or without crosses...

If the TF is changed, the strengths will be in-correct, Gary will need to update the library as Paul (Baluda) explains above.
