Well said Garrick. I have seen this beginning from EAs too many times to really be too excited (voodoo anyone?) though the premise behind this one is brilliant and much more solid than any I have tried. I can see DD being an issue and honestly that's usually the biggest issue with all the EAs I have tried over the years. Especially grid traders. I was -200 pips yesterday before the retracements were done and it was back positive.
But......I just realized today that there IS a MA filter already installed in this EA so next week I am going to test out a H1 MA filter to see if it can take out some of these retracements like I showed with GA.

I am sure with all of us trying different scenarios we can come up with a solid way to trade this thing.

neo, can you share your APTM set file.

I am running APTM too but the ATR settings are not working as I would expect, I have probably made an error somewhere and would like to cross check the settings.

Great results guys and I couldn't agree more with you Leon. And you read me very well ;)

I am doing the same thing to see that the drawdown is eliminated or reduced to the barest minimum and will continue to tweak this thing again next week. My controls were too much and the EA was not generating any trades, so I had to relax the rules. I have some ideas and will be testing one or two of them next week:
1. manually close unviable trades as soon as possible
2. trade ONLY one or two pairs

I have another idea that will require a completely new EA and don't know whether that is something we want to do but will still forward it to Rene over the week end. Trades will not be taken based on currency strength/weakness but instead we look for setups and enter on strength/weakness confirmation. I don't know how feasible this will be but just an idea.

Result for today wasn't bad but will see what next week brings.

would you be so kind to point me to the indicator that lists your trades?
Or is that just an exel sheet?
I used to use iHistory, but it does not work with the lastest Empty4 anymore.
