Gday: a D1 Stochastic OB/OS trading robot

Hi,

This is my first post.
I got an alert on my email with the question if i want to try this on demo, so to contribute to this ea i will install the ea on all my charts! I`ll let you know how it works out.

I've attached the ea to the following pairs ready for the start of trading this week:

chfjpy - looking for a buy
usdchf - looking for a sell
gbpchf - looking for a sell

Let's see how we go!!

Ok, I've checked these 3 charts and report that the only trade taken was the usdchf for a sell
Both the screen comments for chfjpy and gbpchf are saying trade status neutral

I had manually attached the ea to these 3 charts this morning about an hour before trading opened for today.
The stoch signal line had already crossed over 80 before the start of the candle...hence the trade was taken, however with both the gbpchf and chfjpy the signal line was in ob/os and crossed the 80/20 line at the open of trading (new candle), no trade was taken on either chart and yet this is exactly the set up I am looking for.

Steve, can you please advise at what point does the ea make the 'decision' to/or not to trade as I would have expected trades for both gbpchf and chfjpy?
Ideally, the 'decision' to trade should not be made until the new candle has opened and we have confirmation of the signal.

I had made the edit you describe, but somehow lost it again - probably got caught in a bout of ctrl+Z to get rid of some copy/paste bloops.

Fix in post 1 folks, and 'tis an essential one.

Ah, yes, I've done my share of ctrl-z/ctrl-y replays. Back and forth, trying to get back to the most stable code. It's always so disappointing when you get to the end of the line and you can't quite undo enough.

Hmm, I'm sure there's a life lesson in there somewhere.

Sorry, I hadn`t read your thread. I was just wondering, as I`m collecting ideas around LC-D. In one of those other threads -which Steve`s previous LC ea was based on - the stochastic lines were altered. Obviously with good results.

So thanks for your reply. Without having read your thread on FF (aside from first posts): Would you mind some info on the other EAs your using? And have you ever tried LC-FX or MX?? I was searching for an EA for those - until now without success.

Just a quick quistion.

Does it matter which Empty4 criminal platform we using for this ea.

I use GFT Empty4.

bot criminals have different times, therefor it can be different results.

Could you tell us about your criminal and its GMT zone ?

I trade on Cowboy Go Markets which is GMT +2
It is currently daylight savings here in Oz as well.

I think there may well be different results with different criminals...this morning Steve's ea took trades on audchf, audjpy, audusd and gbpaud - none of these charts would have signaled a trade for me.

1. Trade is closed at the cross of the stoch and signal lines (confirmed at the close of the candle)

Just to let you all know that I forgot this bit. I will add it sometime soon. In the meantime, just be aware that this is not yet a feature in Gday.

Can you clarify the trigger for me? For a buy, you want the stoch signal line at the close of yesterday's bar to be below 20, but above 20 at the opening of today's bar (reverse for sells). Or are you looking for the stoch to be below 20 at the close 2 days ago, and above at the close yesterday?

The value of the signal line changes throughout the day. Do you take a trade later in the day if the stoch signal line eventually moves above 20?

Gday works with what it 'knows' now. So, if the stoch was ob/os when you loaded it, then it knows it is looking for a trading opportunity. If stoch was not ob/os when you loaded it, it will wait until it is.
