I`m using the latest version of changethecolor on a H1 TF

First I'd like to thank you and magft for this very nice system. I'm currently running it with EURCHF in 1H timeframe but not with very good results. The problem though seems to be the closure where although we have a nice entry, trade is going into profit with 10 - 15 pips but a sudden opposite move then deletes everything. I used the BE and managed to save few pips but still I feel that I;m doing something wrong. Do u thing that EURCHF is not a good choice or a fixed TP could give some better results ?

Try changing the lot size you're using.... Whatever you're using to test, your Criminal/ST doesn't like it.

It sounds like the lot size specified in the EA is too small. Do you know the min lot size for your account/pair? This script will tell you the minimum: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... f=21&t=205

Hey all,

today I've got a new idea, which I have to say I didn't it tested yet. So it's something like a first thought to test.

At first I tried to describe the different market situations, which can appear after a ea signal.
I think that there are 4 cases:
1.Trend move (->profit trade)
2.Counter Trend move (-> profit trade)
3.Low (-> possible loss)
4.High (-> possible loss)

So my idea is as follows:
when 3 or 4 happens and a trade closes negative, a recovery trade is trigered in the opposite direction. The decicision is based on a expectation of a move in the opposite direction, because there was a High/Low and not an initial move.

Sometimes such a recovery trade can sure be a loss, too, but sometimes it has great potential. Maybe we can think about it....

So all in all it's only an idea.

Rob, great results looks like we are getting there in terms of bug fixing and a good system. Today does seem to have been favorable for this type of EA. I think it is worth limiting the number of pairs you trade on based on the account balance size, i have seen somewhere about a reommendation by either scoobs or macman on FF. Can anyone else remember?

MasterYoda, feel free to post as your ideas are good and if there is a general concenus for some of them i will add to the existing EA. If they are too different to existing strategy we can open a new thread with a new EA

I'll do some testing to make sure we dont have any more obvious bugs in the existing version, Rob has noticed a few trades not being taken so i will recheck what is going on.

Dear I have a problem, if I want to make backtest for 2011 YEAR i have to download candle sticks, but i tried this from several different platforms and i do not have candle sticks for July and Avgust and there is no some candles for November? Do you have any history with all candles for 2011 TF MIN 1, MIN 15, MIN30, H1 and H4?

Hey Guys,

I am glad to see my shakey recovery being used on an ea. Will follow along. I have always wanted to see what this recovery system would do with a good EA.

I also use syn bars, and have always liked them. They are great to manually move stops with a good move by just moving to the top/bottom of the previous candle body with each move.

If it bothers you that you can't see the actual open close price on the syn bars, you can leave the bar chart on underneath, and change the color of them. This way, you can see the little tit where the candle actually opened.
