CAD/JPY LAST 9 WEEKS. 1. UT ends with price broke at 60 range lines set. 2. This lasts about a week with a breakout one day and then back inside the range. Price goes back inside the range and then breaks below the range line but stays inside the 240 line. We are still range trading. 3. Price finally breaks the 240, retests the lines and then breaks into a long DT which lasts almost 2 weeks. 4. Price breaks the 60, breaks the range line (sorry I forgot to draw them) and breaks above the 240 line 3 times. Just plain ugly trading at 4,5,6. Sometimes you just cant make up rules for this but just try to keep winners from turning into losers even though they would be small profits. 7. Finally price breaks into a DT for a week and would be hard to really say that is a great entrance based on any set of rules. If you were range trading the 1H chart you may have gotten this one but there is no such thing as catching every single move. 8. DT ends and price moves between 240 and 60 which is a range area. 9,10,11. Again just ugly market moves, maybe range trading 1H chart would work. I usually just stay out of messes like this where reads are hard to come by. This area is dominated by a spiking news story so indis just dont read news spikes well. 11. Finally price breaks up above the 60 and 240 and goes into an UT. Now you look for a 10.6 double green trade to enter on from the 1H chart. |

EUR/USD LAST 9 WEEKS MY LAST EXAMPLE: 1. Price breaks up into an UT which is really just two moves. The gap on the week open and then some big news spike. The rest is really a range so good luck thinking you got either one. But they are there based on the rules but not great read trades. 2 We have a range signal and the range is around 100 pips. Definitely not 4H trading material but maybe lower TF will work better. The bottom line holds for 3 weeks as the bottom of the range. Would really be nice if I could know that in advance but the but there is no DT to break into. 3. You get some small trades with the break into mini UT but that is all for several weeks. In fact this range area holds for almost 4 weeks so good luck trading it. 4. Price finally breaks into an UT that lasts almost 2 weeks but again is really just two good sized moves and the rest it ranges. Hey Forex can get ugly and hard to read but at least you can see that is what price action is doing. 5. Price finally ends the miserable UT with a hit on the 60 MA. 6. Later in the week it dives and goes into a DT. This DT lasts almost 2 weeks. 7. Price goes into the range area and now we wait to see if it breaks the 60 and goes into an UT or breaks the lower range line back into a DT. Happy trading. 5. Price |

CONCLUSION: Sometime in the future I will want to add a booklet to page 1. For now that will not be possible for several weeks. I hope with these first 4 pages of explanation you will have a basic grasp and understanding of the system. 10.6 is the first trading system I have seen that tries to cover the entire market and all its kinds of moves. Of course there are kinds of price actions that cannot be covered by any definition but the ones I am providing will cover most of the market moves. This has been a three plus year study and attempt to put a complete and comprehensive system together. Even though it may seem to boggle the mind with all the info and stuff I have put out. This really is the simplest and easiest way I have seen these concepts explained and defined. I know of nothing out there that does this. So in review let us go over the basic definitions of 10.xxx series which culminates with 10.6. 1. An UT/DT is defined as price moving above/below the 240 MA and 60 MA on a 4H chart. This represents a long term view of the market called TOP DOWN TRADING. TDT simply means you use the direction of price action on a higher time frame (TF) chart to help you choose the best trades on a lower TF chart. The 240 represents the monthly trend and the 60 the weekly trend. Doing this allows you to give a reasonable prediction of where price will go in the future. When price breaks above the 60 and 240 you are in an UT. When price breaks below the 60 and 240 you are in a DT. So this is how we define an UT and a DT. 10.6 is a more specific definition of a trend than the 10.5 and lower 10.xxx series definitions. 2. Entering a trend then is started when price is above the 240/60 MA on a 4H chart for UT and below 240/60 MA for a DT. The area between the 240 and the 60 is considered a range area and a different style of trading is used. However, for an UT/DT trade you can use the rules mentioned earlier as the 10.4 and 10.6 trend trades. 3. 10.6 also adds to our definition list which we did not have before with the 10.4 series and lower 10.xxx booklets. We have added what a range area is. It is very specific when it happens, price comes back and hits the 60 MA line. This is the signal that lets you know that this particular run is over and price will now range for a period of time or do a complete reversal. Most of the time it will range and we will have a top line and a bottom line drawn on the screen to show our range area. When price breaks out of this range area it will do one of three things: A. Go into the area between the 60 MA and 240 MA. This is also a range area and we will have it defined as the 240 or 60 MA line for one side of the range and the previous high/low range line for the other. When price breaks out above the 240/60 line or the other range area line we have a breakout and hopefully a start of a new trend. B. Price will break the range area continuing the previous trend. C. Or it will reverse into the opposite direction crossing the range line along with the 60/240 MA lines and start a new trend in the opposite direction. D. Remember to ignore spikes in your range lines. They are aberrations of price action and should not be considered. You now have a complete trading system with all the basic bells and whistles. UT, DT, RANGE, REVERSALS, reentering a trend, and reentering a strong trend. I honestly can say at this point, I dont think I could define these terms any clearer or better. The dummy lights help you in learning to read charts and making sure you stay on the correct side of a trade. They also help you find setups easier and faster. The STO7 gives you specific warnings that a good trade is coming up so go look for it. The 10.6 INFO page helps look for which currencies are moving at the moment and where the best possible setups are at. The rules for that page are written on the 10.6 INFO page. So read and study. Those of you that still like the CSS I have it on the daily chart. If you still want to use it you can click on it and change it to appear on whatever TF you want. Right now I have it hidden on the daily. With this post I now open this thread for discussion and trades. I still will post some EAs and a booklet to go with the system but that will take weeks to finish. I hope you can grasp the depth and incredible opportunity that lays before you. Everything you need to know is here to be successful. Once you understand these basics you can stay with what I posted here to trade with or go naked or with indies you are more familiar with. Either way the knowledge you gain here should help you become a much more successful trader. I still have areas I wish to talk about but time for bed and for me to take a break on 10.6. I will try to answer questions tomorrow during my breaks. Happy trading. Nanningbob November 17, 2013 |
