Phantom,
you're right, i never thought of that. I'll check with Steve when the time comes and see if we can be one of the providers on zulutrade. Will do.

Hi Cuzgeorge,

I completely understand your point. But I think Zulutrade is not correctly understood by some people here.
First, if you use correctly your settings (Risk Meter Bar %) is ABSOLUTELY impossible to blow up an account.
And second, it is not true that sooner or later, a SP will fail. Any Zulu SP, like any EA, like any Manual trader, must adapt to the market, because the market changes. If the SP does not adapt, he will fail, if he adapts, he will win.
Zulutrade is just a really big source of systems, and with some forex experience, you will really quickly know which are counter trend, trending, scalping, .........
I´m not saying that Zulu is good, I´m just saying it is as good as any other EA, any other trader or any other system.....You just have to make your SP choices, control them, exchange them, and that´s it.

Good luck
Caillou,
Great reply, and very well explained.

in defense to zulutrade, I was new to forex when i tried zulu, so i did'nt fully understand the meter you mentioned for risk, not to mention all the various settings there are. So many signals to choose from , constant ding ding ding etc etc. It was fairly overwhelming at first, but when you get used to it , it's fun i suppose, but you never really feel like you're in control like when you can code the ea's yourself.i've mentioned before that i started this endeavour of mine because i was sick and tired of criminals losing my money for me. i can do that myself ,  hahaha. jokes aside, i'd like to learn to invest myself , my own money, dont want to risk other people's money. i know how hard they worked for it because i did too.

Problem for me though, i really enjoy the forum here and the countless hours i spend on the media editor and watching the screens. i really enjoy it . I've learnt to partially code so far, read the indi's and understand whats going on in an EA. Posts like this with people who understand whats going on and respect for each other. This you cant get from Zulu, so i chose to spend my time this way, meet some people along the way, share ideas etc etc. Phantom has a great idea. Once we get a system consistantly profitable, and then with Steve's permission, link it to Zulu and make our efforts work for the chosen charity. great idea., but lets get there first.

there is'nt enough time in the day for me to do all the things i want to do, even the 'Caillou' EA was on my list (was this your idea?), but i just cant find enough time. I had to shorten the list, so thats why i made the decision to learn more here, work on the EA's and projects here.
i don't 'hate' zulu, just need to prioritise my time. thats all.
regards and thanks for the great post.

How are your SPs doing in this recent fluctuation?
I started with Zulu few days back with FCC but his performance has not been good.
Any inputs welcome..

My input: you shouldn't even be paying attention to his performance over a few days. You happened to hit a big loss right after you started. Bummer, it happens. You need to be prepared for that. FCC has a remarkable ability to dig out of drawdowns -- see last December for example. I expect if you wait, he will do it again.

Trading is a long-term activity with ups and downs. If you can't tolerate a few days of off performance, you have no business trading or letting someone else trade for you. If you want to do this, you must develop a long-term outlook.

Whoa! He IS having a bad month. But really, he was at a new equity high less than 10 days ago. I'll be fairly surprised if he doesn't dig out of this within a month or two. This is probably his worst/longest drawdown but that doesn't mean he's forgotten how to trade. He doesn't seem to be trading a Martingale so I don't think he'll have a sudden huge blowup.

Too bad, people need to be patient with his long term trading!

I was asking you for your latest experience with all the SPs you suggested in my earlier post. I just want to know if there are any real traders in there?

Hello,
I am signal provider on ZuluTrade.
I´m from Germany and made good experiences on german boards, where people have the chance to talk about SPs side of the trade and my strategy.
If this posting is regarded as spam, or is against any other board rule, I want to apologize and ask the mod-team kindly to delete it!

Just mentioning you're an SP isn't spamming IMHO. If you start posting "I'm a great SP, come sign up with me!" then we'll have a problem.

Welcome to the madhouse!

I saw your performance on Zulu..looks good. But average pips per trade is only 3 pips. And with the problem of slippage at Zulu, this can be a problem..

Post subject:  Re: Zulutrade anyone?

Thanks! Yes, 3 pip/trade seems to be the main thing, that also limits my ranking. I`m continously working on pip/trade. Not by heart, but to improve my rank. May take some time, because nearly 1000 trades need to be averaged out.
Slippage:
Zulutrade calls the performance now "hypothetical", what is absolute correct. I don`t think, that any of my followers reaches or exceeds my performance. If you check followers performance, you will see. But no one loses, when I win and I never heard complaints regarding slippage. As SP, i see followers executions and check randomly.
Example:
Today I did two trades:
Me: -6.9 Followers: -7.4,-8,-4.8,-6.1,-6.6,-6, (multiple followers per number)
Me: 18.7 Followers: 17,15.7,19.8,18.5,20,18.1,17.9,17.4,17.5,17.6 (multiple followers per number)
I`m also curious to know, which Forexbroker might be preferable, but haven´t come to real results.
