Hmm...early days but I think FB is handling the current trading conditions very well!

I have 2 demo's running, M15 (started 24/8) & H1 (started yesterday) using the 2% close

results below:
M15 - 5 closures @ 2% - trading 0.05 lot sizes which is too high for the M15 - currently in drawdown approx 1%

H1 - 1 closure @ 2% - trading 0.05 lot size which is ok for H1 - less trades taken - currently in drawdown approx 0.5%

I am leaving for Bali tomorrow morning for 10 days and will be leaving these demo's run whilst I'm away...it will be interesting to see how they perform.

I'll start testing v1 today using JPY basket. AY NY GY EY CadY ChfY UY... i'm hoping the moves win or lose would be more coordinated in direction and closing with % gain will be easier

I'd like to ask your opinion, you think it's better to manual intervene and close pairs which are all positive profit already instead of all the pairs together up by 2%?

I don't know. I described in post 1 how I came to be using mptm to close the entire basket at +2% but have no idea whether this is best or not.

Anyone who thinks past post 1 realises that there are hosts of different combos of time frames and 10.x features to experiment with. I do not even begin to have the earliest glimmering of the faintest suggestion of light in the dark, which combo will be the best. I am just hoping someone stumbles across it by accident.

I closed that deep-in-the-doo-doo basket from last week because I wanted to concentrate on the latest FB version. I wish I hadn't and had opened a new account instead so I could see what happened to the old account, but too late. I emerged with my profits cut by two thirds - buy I would cheerfully accept one third of account balance every two weeks were it possible to maintain this.

So, this basket opened and closed mostly today:

I am not using the max/min distance from moving average filter. I am using the default trading distance filters. You can see how the 'winners' were a decent distance apart when >1 trade per pair. The 'losers' did not trigger umpteen trades on the market's move against my original.

It could be that the GU might have reached profitability and allowed the basket to close at its mptm-managed 2% earlier had it been allowed to take a few more trades on its merry way upwards. What I particularly enjoy here is how GJ took trades at decent intervals and was the engine that drove the basket to its 2%.

So, good start but we keep on testing and refining.

Myself on the other hand still testing my JPY7 basket and doing good with TP at 10 and TS at 8 which is kind of illogical of me to set TS at 8. But hey so for it's working somehow.

My live account i have fbob there also on some pairs. I started setting the TP to 10 from this week but no TS. Last week i closed the trades manually.

FBob is doing well form me generally... slow and steady pace of it wins the race

This is how I traded FB live on my OAM account a couple of weeks ago, on the EU chart where OAM had taken a buy in the teeth of a howling gale of sell signals just about everywhere else. It dug the trade out of the hole nicely.

So, we both have some positive live trading results. This is encouraging.

My demo has started to take fresh trades. I am looking forward to following them up.

Yes Steve this one is getting me excited to be honest. I want to see how it performs in the future in ranging markets but so far so good.

I am trading this now on H1 and H4 TF with TP and SL from ATR. It takes less trades but higher quality definitely. I am not treating the trades as a basket too.
