This is one of those anomalies. The trend change happened last week, so any trade taken this week is regarded as a new entry by the ea because it has not been told that there might have been a main trade closed.

Might be something we have to look at, might not. We shall see. Good spot, though. :clap:

Hmm very quiet thread now ? :uff:

Started great, the method itself seems to be pretty good, but no more posts/results/descriptions here? What happened ? Or are all chaps no playing with the great SB recently appearing like a new force ? :)

Hehe. I am sure we all are. In the meantime, my STF demo has increased the balance by 20% but the dd on remaining open trades is c. 1500 pips. That is D1 trend trading for you. Things take time.

Managing these threads and keeping them updated take a lot of time and I've had a really busy week at work and not had the chance to spend any quality time here this week.

I'll do some updates over the weekend.

How Steve has the time to create all of these EA's whilst I struggle to keep up only loading and setting them to work I don't know..... . . . . STF is away in great style: :hi: to Steve and everyone with the strategies behind them

Hi Steve,

I do wonder if you do have some spare time in-between a brew or a class you could cut and paste some magic code that could make this possible.

I do think this EA could have great potential, if CSS was incorporated and the actual trade execution of trades from daily open was changed, to a pending order half way between high and closure of the previous daily candle or vice a versa. And follow price up or down until the originals rules where broken, the same kind of pending orders as Pipcruiser's Pipmasher uses.

I found a lot of the re-entry trades where taken at major places where price decided to go south.

Which does add majorly to the DD.
Overall this EA has been a winner but it would be great to have that little edge.

I stuck this on a Global Prime demo account a while ago and sort of forgot about it. I've tried these Shelley EA's before and they were hit and miss

I'm pretty sure I had this one running for longer before and it was OK over time, but something must have happened in Oct 2014 and I lost the account settings ... anyway, here's this EA's results since then

I am not sure what version, the code just says:

#define version "Version 1"

It's actually an impressive return considering it's using 0.01 lots. Every time I do happen to look at what orders it has open it always seems to have something crazy going on, so I just minimize it quick and ignore it :)

I'm running it on H1 charts

attached (I think) is the version I'm using. Using default settings (ie, no set file)

I noticed it's set to use daily time frame. I've loaded it on h1 charts. Don't think that makes a difference?
