Hi Sim, Thanks for testing this out. The Hurst indicator repaints. To actually see what went on during that moment, you need to use the FxBlue trade simulator and run through the moment with the indicators on the chart. You can also run the EA in visual backtest mode through that exact moment and see what the EA outputs for the Hurst values ...see if it corresponds to the actual Hurst values you see on your chart. Cheers |

As an enhancement can I suggest the following exit in line with Hurst principles: Hurst has excellent predictive take profit capabilities once the 5 and 11 MAs have crossed post trade initiation. Could we project the take profit once the MA cross condition has been met? For a buy, logic might be along the lines of: if 5 MA >= 11 MA then TP = MAs intersection price + (MAs intersection price - buy trend arrow bar low) and vice versa for sell trades - allowing us to take full advantage not only of Hurst entry functionality but the exit functionality as proposed by Hurst too (first mentioned by Pedro2). I think it could be a great multi-trade candidate. Only downside being you don't know before the intersection how long the run could be - mind you this is also true of other multi trades ... |

Hi Spider, Thanks yes, I tested on basktest to see at the real visual and you're right. However, I noticed signals are more accurate when it's above or below the TMA slow (11). So, buy signal when: - Hurst (5)MA below Hurst (11)MA AND Trend signal below Hurst 11 and Sell signal: - Hurst (5)MA above Hurst (11)MA AND Trend signal above Hurst 11 Have a look on the chart, I think we have less signals but at a better place. What do you think about that ? Cheers Sim |

Hi Sure. That could be done. Let me know if anything from Pedro's discussion has been missed. Multi-trade is probably not such a great idea for now. You should run a backtest using fxblue simulator with both indicators, and you will see that there are not that many trades. The Hurst filter really limits the number of trades..this is the reason why the EA allows one trade a time at this point. It is very very unlikely you can pick up another HGI trade signal after your initial trade. Cheers |

Hi sim, The number of trades are already not so much with the Hurst filter, not sure how many trade you would cut off if you add even more restrictions on the trading. If a few others advise that this suggestion is workable, then i will add it into the EA. Cheers |

Hi Spider, What I found useful is to calculate gap between SlowMA and FastMa and if that gap is greater then XX then all RAD buy signals to become sell trigers since market is in exhaustion. I tried with else if(EntryOnRAD && HGI_Signal == RADDN && (MathAbs(SlowMA_val - FastMA_val) > HurstGap_Sell)) { MagicNumber = MagicNumberRAD; TradeComment= "RAD Sell"; but I clearly done something wrong. It compiles without errors but EA is not taking trades.I already defined buffer 4 to be sell and buffer 5 buy.Without gap it is taking trades in opposite direction but do not want to take opposite trade on RAD until gap between 2 MA's is in extreme. Can you please help ? Thanks. Happy Christmas to everyone. |

Merry Christmas to Everyone ! Hi Spider, Market opened in Asia with a very slow pace, I put the EA to test. There is a big green arrow now for AUDJPY but the trade is not taken. I have set Entry On Trend to true, Min Trade Time Minutes to 15 and Trading Hours to Blank, others are pretty much out of the box. Please see the attached chart. The indicator HGI v15.06 also gives an alert to buy but the EA stays put. I could figure out why ? Cheers |
