Thanks, Steve. The 1b bot is rapidly opening and closing new trades. I think the opening requires that only the main stoch line be above or below horizontal level X, but closure of a trade requires that the relative position of the main and signal stoch lines be above or below each other. When both the main and signal stoch lines are in a given field, seeing that the main stoch line is consistent with opening a trade, it might trigger a trade and then realize that the relative position of the stoch main and signal lines dictates a closure. Presumably coding an opening trade might require that the relative position of the two stoch lines be in non-closure mode, even if the main stoch line is correctly above or below horizontal level X for opening a trade.. What do you think?

V 1c is in post 1. I have added a filter that aborts the trade if CloseOnStochCross is enabled and the main is the wrong side of the signal. See if this helps.

The only thing to do is close down the CloseOnStochCross thingy. This is allowing LUC to throw a party and I only have limited patience with this here. With Slope involved, it should be unnecessary anyhow.

V 1e is in post 1.

I decided to have a look and try to work out what was causing the instant closing of trades. Usual thingy - copy-paste bloop that was allowing short trades when main was on the wrong side of signal.

Running through a visual backtest, I noticed that the main line snakes around a lot. Signal is often triggering a trade just as main is about to cross back over signal. Have a play with the revised version and see if you can come up with a plan for dealing with this.

It is playing the open and then close game again, so I turned off the close on stoch cross feature. Seemingly, it is making decisions based on the the signal stoch line, rather than the main stoch line. Perhaps that is not correct. Slope should work its magic here also. Thanks, Steve. G.
