Do you close manually? I can't get SAPBM to close my trades, so am back to using Equity sentry, but would prefer to keep the pendings open...

I'm using Equity Sentry as well since SAPBM also didn't work for me, set to +3%. Restarting the platform on target being hit, pendings get resent. Max DD so far <3%. |

The fixed lot size is certainly performing well. Some interesting stats there and early indications are that we are on the right track. My other two accounts also hit TP this morning but they are trading quite differently to the original insomuch the TP's are much smaller 1% and the lot sizes are a lot bigger, just testing to see if a smaller TP and larger lot size will get you in and out quicker. Early indications and from what you are reporting is that they do but only marginally but at the expense of profitable returns in comparison to what you are achieving.. Yes I have also had to go back to Equity Sentry because try as I might I could not get SAPBM to work for me either. I figured it was something my end as nobody else was reporting it and I do have this system set up on a small live account so needed reliability. Still all said and done so far so good. |

Yes the 1% does give low drawdowns. I am in a rock and a hard place regarding keeping pendings open.. The good thing about equity sentry when it shuts everything down you are kind of resetting the system with a clean sheet. Tommaso, will reply in your thread about the simpleAllPairTradeManager |

Demo account with the new increasing lot size Multi trades just hit the 3% TP. Post trade analysis suggests that this might be worth pursuing. There were a total of 4 Multi trades against and 8 for. The losses were soon swallowed up by the wins due to the increasing lot size as the trade went in our favour. |

I would very much like to get your opinion regarding the longer time frame issue which has been discussed both here and on the PPoS brain storming thread. For example today the GBPCAD is showing Sells because the W1 was down. However if you are trading the past 5 days then we would be looking for Buys. Given that we are trading the 4H candle and we are trying to achieve Trend trading in the short term is the W1 data too old to be any use or is the last 5 day period too short to establish any kind of short term trend to trade with? Remember we are aiming to be in and out as quickly as possible, unlike the original system which is looking to trade the longer term trends we are trying to jump in and out on short term trends. |
