Whether this is still relevant with recent developments but here is an update to http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 80#p138182
This is 1d running sell and buy, I tried to pick two pairs, GJ and EG, an up and a downtrend with 34MA on M15.

Method1,2 + Source Code!!

Method 2 + Source Code !

This Is The Update Of Method1 And Method2
With The Source Code!!

So, Programmers Can Copy The Code To Metaeditor
And Convert It To MQL4 With The Exact Same Way ,

The EA Can Open Orders In (Memory Like Simulator)
And Copy Trades From Memory To Real Trades.
By Looking To Deals.Deal() Array
And Open Orders When It Is Have Orders.

I must say that I haven't been so interested in a thread since Bob's amazing work a few years ago. Seeing everyone so focus and involved on one single (brilliant) idea is the proof that no man is an island and together there are no limits.

Thank you all, specially Remon (having a hard time now on our FF neighbors) and Steve. Count me in for whatever is needed on the testing part.

Regards!

Thanks Remon - it's very generous of you to share all this with us. "Convert it to MQL4" makes it sound so simple......... but does anyone know how? It would be good to see the logic in code so that we can be sure we're (the royal "we") reproducing it accurately.

I am going out for some teaching and so have left what I have done so far in post 1.

RnR goes down to level 5 in the logic flowchart. It starts by drawing a baseline, waits until the price has moved DistanceBetweenTradesPips, sends the appropriate trade then redraws the line.

Let it build up a grid of buys and sells then manually play with the offsetting methods described in the flowchart.

Read the effing manual, ok?

Afterprime is the official SHF broker. Read about them at https://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=175790#p175790.

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.

Anyone here feeling generous? My paypal account is always in the market for a tiny donation. pianodoodler@hotmail.com is the account.

My special thanks to Thomas (tomele) for all the incredible work he does here.

Remon, what do you recommend to be appropriate grid size on a market that let's say moves a range of 300 pips a day? Should the grid be dynamically scaled based on previous time frame? And can grid size change over time or must it be static as long as trades are open?

Still playing with the simulator, latest version from Remon.

Here is a profile for a market which rose over 300 pips with the usual drop back to previous peaks sometimes reaching, sometimes exceeding and sometimes not reaching but the overall bias was a strong up-trend.

This is a randomly generated market, I also played with this market with a few higher/lower peaks but with a strong up-trend bias with pretty similar results. Once you have ran this one just add a few random 0/1 here and there to see what I mean.

Stupid question; where do I enter the string in the simulator order to see the procedings?
