%gain VS %drawdown so its doesn't matter. And to be fair I had forgotten to say use a 10k account when you setup so that was me not you. So just keep them rolling and will be great to see what's top end of September. |

Hi guys, I've been trying different demos (both with Individual TPs+recovery OR Basket TPs) and something I've noticed consistently over all demos (and which I've been able to confirm looking at other people's demos) is something that perplexes me: the lack of M5 trades, despite exact same settings. This 6 demos are my own tests (some running since Aug 11th, some a bit later):} And the same I've been able to observe in TJF's and Barry's demos. I honestly don't understand why the lack of M5 trades when in fact this timeframe should be way more active in terms of signals than M15. Maybe this has something to do with the code itself? (I haven't been able to find anything in the code myself). Does anyone else think this is something worth "worrying" about? (not that the results are bad though. as you can see, they're still beautiful):D I just think that we may be missing out on good trades on the M5 TF for some mysterious reason Diego |

Hi acostafulano When you only trade M5 (see other forward tests stats here) the number of trades is in range with other time frames so maybe nothing wrong with the code but possibly M1 trades cannibalizing on M5 trades if number of open trades is reached? Thanks for putting all together interesting stats |

Thought about that as well, but how could it be possible if there's no such thing as a "MAX TOTAL TRADES" input? the only ones related would be, MaxPairsAllowed=22 MaxTradesAllowedPerTimeFrame=20 (Neither of which should be causing cannibalizing among timeframes). And if that were the case, wouldn't the cannibalization also affect M15 as well? Just trying to make some sens out of this. thanks |
